is why it is always up vs shamans

they dont drop the resistance they drop healing stream and the resistance is glyphed into it

go for 200 :D it'll be overall more damage

Fuck. Just realized we're pigeonholed into Polearm for the rest of this expansion. That's so fucking boring and stupid.


I much prefer the swords generally. They're very "blood elf," compared to an Axe or Pole. And no one uses them.

Sigh. I guess that's the price we pay for getting even a sliver of itemization (agility on a PVP melee wep), they have to make EVERY other option strength.

Wouldn't it affect PvE during haste effects?  Like if your hasted Steadies were below 1.0, then GCD prevents you from getting enough in between your shots as you deserve.  A small price to pay, nonetheless.

One idea I've been toying with in my head is making a PvE/PvP distinction between Steady and Cobra Shot.  The idea is this: Cobra Shots becomes the all-purpose PvE shot, ignoring armor and refreshing Serpent Sting as currently designed.  It is tied into all talents that currently use Steady Shot.  Steady Shot becomes the PvP shot, with a very quick cast time, maybe 1.0 cast time (ergo unaffected by haste), and just returns tons of focus (20-30) and applies a Mortal Strike effect, maybe a daze to our marked target, no damage component.  Hunter PvP becomes instant damage with casted focus regen as Blizzard wants, we get a Mortal Strike inbuilt into our base rotation along with every other MS-applying class, but we still have the option of using Cobra Shot for higher damage if we ever get a chance to stand still and turret them out (i.e. Bloodlust / Rapid Fire).

Maybe throw in some talents that make Cobra Shot do more damage if you stand still for X seconds if Steady/Arcane spam in PvE is beating out Cobra rotations.

I really like the Badge of Conquest.  The extra resil on it is nice and a use trinket is way better then a proc one.  Getting to chose when you burst is a lot better then RNG burst.

i love hearing how MM scales so much better as a reason to use use the spec, it's true, it does- but its damage is still inferior to survival so how is that point even valid? it's still behind on damage and always has been.

mm's strength is in silencing shot, readiness, and burst. nothing else.


MM does do more damage vs a couple specific team setups though (RMP) or anything with out a poison dispel (RMP) lol.

With that said and a statement in general regarding this thread is SV is definitely better vs some teams and on some times and vs some teams. The argument is however that in general MM gives you a competitive advantage (compared to SV) vs a wider variety of teams and that's why it's the "chosen" spec.

I think the main reason you're loosing is that you go "boom boom wham bam" when you should start out with "wham" and then "boom boom bam" to get him off guard which would result in a kill.
