I don't want to spam the forum with posts, so I'll just link all future Paladin videos in this post. By the way, there are way more double dps teams playing than healer dps on the Beta Server, so that is why you see so many double dps videos.
All videos have unedited vent of me and my partner. Mistakes and all. (I'll update to clickable links after a few more posts...heh)
Oloh's 3v3 Videos
I tried to get some decent double healer videos but none of the folks that are on Beta that I talked to have played double healer at any point on live. Here is our attempt and I'm sure we butchered it. This was our win against a really good LSD. Norck put enough presure on the lock early to get him to jump off and then we all hard swapped to the Druid and killed him. I really just made this video specifically because I figured there were some folks out there that liked to play double healer. Seems viable to me. We ran :paladin::shaman::warrior: (2x heals).
We never played together before, so our positioning to each other wasn't good (mostly my fault). Lot of LoS and mistakes, but they were still fun matches. We were playing :paladin: :warrior: :mage:.
vs :hunter: :deathknight: :druid: (resto)
Not really a great one because its so fast and we didnt do anything special, but it shows two new comps and shows that the matches wont all be long. We were playing :paladin: :warrior: :mage:.
After losing to this team a few times in a row as Pal/War/Mage our mage switched to lock and it went a lot better. Ferals are currently really hard on Mages because they cant be CCed much at all. The opposing feral had nearly 100% uptime on whichever target he wanted.
We played this team another time and they beat us, but I wanted to post this video to show an aspect of Cataclysm 3v3s that seems similar to WotLK 3v3s. Training warriors is good. We won.
Short match. Warriors started off on the opposing DPS then hard swapped to Druid for a kill. Cataclysm melee cleaves seem pretty similar to Wrath of the Lich King melee cleaves so far. Nice to see an OG comp like War, Rog, Dru though! We won.
We had some good matches vs. these guys. Warriors split on the two cloth DPS and just wore down the other paladin's heals with pressure. It is a good sign that a double melee team might be able to do strats that involve splitting and pressuring/controlling a little more than straight zerging something down. We won. I think I have a match that we lost against these guys as well, so I'll try and get it ready to go.
This was another match vs the Warrior, Warlock, Druid team. It adds to the feeling of Cataclysm Arena. It isn't necessarilly slower than WotLK, but people aren't getting globaled. I am optimistic.
I did not heal very well in this match, but I wanted to upload anyway because it shows a few good things about Cataclysm 3v3s: (1) demonstrates Paladin mobility in 3v3 against a team that makes it tough to move, (2) shows that Rogues have gained a lot of survivability in Cataclysm compared to WotLK, and (3) shows how Paladin healing has involved into something much more than 1 button spam...I had to use all of my heals in this match continually and, in fact, used some of them poorly which cost me mana.
For example, at one point it the fight I had Infusion of Light up and got out of Line of Sight....I was under pressure so I just double Flashed myself, which is terrible. I should have Divine Lighted myself. It would have saved half the mana and healed for the same amount in half the time. Live and learn.
Oloh's 2v2 Videos
Good match. They are good players. I was doing a good job staying out of LoS of the Mage and still keeping Cleanses up on my warrior, but we couldn't finish off the Rogue. Rogues have VERY good self healing as you can see from this video. We probably needed to make a few hard swaps to the Mage. We lost.
vs :rogue::druid: (resto)
My favorite match so far because it reminded me of TBC arena. A lot of back and forth and good switches from both teams. We won.
This is just a "fun" video that I posted to show Paladin's greater mobility in Cataclysm. Holy Radiance + more instant casts really allow us to have decent mobility. I like this vid because it shows how we can survive without parking cast time heals using cooldowns. To give credit to the other team, they are 2200 War/Rogue and the second time we played them, they blew up my warrior in a single fear to start the match. We won.
vs :rogue::druid: (feral)
Another "fun" video that I posted to show Paladin's greater ability to cause offensive pressure in Cataclysm. Having a chainable nuke really adds a new dimension to the Paladin and the strats that you can try. If you are having a problem with a team, you can at least try to go "Disc Priest" style and work someone over. The video below shows a match where we got the jump on a double DPS team and put them so far behind early that they couldn't recover. We won.
This video shows me getting owned against Belligerent from my perspective. Loss was my fault and it shows the importance of Judging on cooldown in Cataclysm. He destroyed me in mana. We lost.
vs :rogue::shaman: (elemental)
I took this video while tweaking quality and audio settings. I posted it because I really liked my Line of Sighting in the 30 or so seconds leading up to the kill on the rogue. We won.
vs :warlock::shaman: (enhancement)
I took this video while tweaking quality and audio settings. Good match to show double DPS healing ability in Cataclysm. We won.
