In Topic: Is Unholy really THAT bad?

Unholy is more about spread out pressure and frost is more about single target pressure. Frost is superior in situations where frequent on demand burst is needed, which fits well into the current design of pvp. Unholy on the other hand, if well played can still be very rewarding, but do require a lot more setups.

... Ive heard of this addon Gladiatorlosa, is that something you guys are familiar with and would recommend? Do you think it would of made a difference if you didn't use it?

Lossa is indeed very good addon.

As for survival, here is one tip:

As a DK you need to be very proactive in terms of survial. Often when you notice things are going wrong, it is already too late.

For instance, against god comp, if you get slienced when devouring plague is already up and mage started pooping on you, it is already late to even trinket and pop AMS.

Start by learning what comes in your way, and learn to pop defensives before the burst hit you.

One trick is when you see a swap on you, always go in Blood Pres and observe the pressure. If you are dipping quickly or healer is being CC'ed, start rolling conversion asap. Store enough RP to keep conversion going and get ready to pop AMS/IBF or spam Death Strike if it becomes really bad.

macro it to death coil if you dont really care about min/max damage for controlled burst.

Despite of all the funky jokes made above (love them no offense), here are some tips:

- Run chillblains, this will give you much more uptime on the mage and allow you to control the position of his partner (usually they will run to your healer for cc when a polly lands, you should root /grip him out of position so they cannot chain cc your healer and blow you up)

- When you don't have confidence of much uptime (e.g. he has incoming freedom/dispel on your root), use scourge strike instead of necrotic strike.

- You should only need about 8 secs full uptime on the mage to force a block, don't waste your big CDs when hes kiting all over the map. Once you catch him, blow him up!

- Dispel him as much as you can when you are waddling towards him, especially when he ice has barrier, incanter's ward, alter time. Dispelling frost finger off the mage usually upset the mage as well.

- Watch your position and CDs! Don't chase him behind a pillar and LoS you healer, get rooted and then blown up. Use you AMS wisely to shield off his bursts (e.g. when he drops frost orb).

- Against mage+rogue comp, it is recommended to equip your pvp trinket and trinket the opener (when rogue silence/stun you) and AMS immediately. It will allow you to stay offensive and force their CDs instead of spending majority of your CDs later on to stay alive and get killed when their 2nd round of burst come off CD.
