and this time actual commentary instead of that lazy "joining skype" shjt

Actually (no offence to anyone)... I prefer listening to skypes over commentating in 90% of situations. This is true even for Azael, who's a great commentator.

Think it's much more exciting when you get to hear the players. Commentating can be good too and definitely has its place.

#4036495 How do you become one of the best?

Actually, it's really simple: if you think you are the best, you are the best.

#4031707 USA! USA! USA!

Welcome to EU bitches.

In a couple of years they won't be allowed to play video games, US is virtually a police state now.

You really think he even realizes what that means or how much their own government stomps the rights of their citizens?

These are just 3 of the posts I've reported in the last 24 hours while the moderators sit by idly and do nothing. This EU World War envy has got to stop.

Fact: The best EU player of all time, Hydra, is laughed at by his own community

Fact: The two players EU says are good are notorious wintraders who will not hesitate to be French, e-date 15 year olds or steal Hydra's identity for R1. Yes, of course I am referring to Zunniyaka and Khuna.

Fact: All the moderators on this website are EU scum.

Fact: The other EU players that people know, like Minipogo or whatever and that other Hunter, Benhaminlethal are ignorant bastards.

Fact: All famous American players are super nice guys who stream in sweaters or invite their grandmothers on stream, for example Cdew and Woundman.

Fact: Everyone in EU watches American television, movies and even American streamers are the most popular. But no American streamer has ever dated a European ever, even the ones who already have accents. What is up with Tease's bone structure? Her face is completely flat.

Fact: America won WWI, WWII and WWIII in several movies.

Fact: If you play on EU servers, they make you e-sign an "anti-cheating agreement"

Fact: If you play on US servers, they already know you're honorable.

Fact: EU started DDoS'ing in this game 3 years earlier than US.

Fact: It is more common to have a R1 title in EU than not have one.

Fact: EU has to protect itself with the entire Atlantic ocean during online tournaments.

Fact: No EU player has ever won a LAN event for World of Warcraft.

Woundman is better anyways

This. At least Woundie sets people free after the stream. And refunds 2000$ donations. He is a true champion amongst the streamers; a shiny beacon of light in the muddy pile of shit that we call Jew.TV, an oiled martyr that dances on the webcam whilst his mum comes into the room, questioning herself whether it was a good idea to refuse to use the clothes hanger.

#3979954 This game used to be so great

Posted Lolflay on 02 November 2013 - 02:53 AM

Queueing in Nagrand and making other people missing queues by dueling them, MCing them into that little area that flagged them killable for both factions, forfeiting and slaughtering them. Or just tricking them into moving there, everything worked.

Beating Undead rogues and warlocks in duels in TBC ( like, actual, good, Glad or r1 people ) and laughing as they announce that SPs are "OP" ( though, I did have best PvE gear available in every season so it was kind of a unfair advantage to wear stuff like SSC +armor ring, pve tank trinkets, shadow resist gear, etc )

Winning Rogue/Druid on BEM

Getting that extra bit of XP after long, tiring day of leveling up in Vanilla by putting follow on someone in Zul'Farrak and going to bed, netting you a few extra bars you wouldn't get if you were a upstanding citizen

Dominating stormwind-ironforge train

getting close to killing Sapphiron in Vanilla and feeling happy for the almost-kill, because you didn't have OP Paladin blessings

camping SSC entrance

camping underwater just outside of SSC cavern with gang of undeads and chain CCing alliance to drowning

epic world pvp ( if you killed a "famous" server personality and went on forums and bragged, they actually felt ashamed and actually cared, looking back at it, that was retarded, like why would anyone even give a shit, but back then we did )

servers being communities, being proud of having a better rogue player than some other server f.ex.

abusing ZHC as destro in vanilla

abusing Skull of Gul'dan and PVE gear as shadow in TBC

abusing DFO in WoTLK

twinking for lvl 39, ESPECIALLY in vanilla

epic WSG fights

epic scenery, coupled with sick music

first time I saw a glowing weapon enchant

first time I took portal from undercity to thunder bluff, I thought I teleported from one dimension to another, while all I did was travel from point A to point B in the world

watching TBC beta PvP videos during vanilla and having adrenaline rushes

good old raid vs raid at the mountain where Molten Core was ( GOD I forgot the name :( )

alliance raids on Crossroads while we were all lvl 20-40 early in Vanilla

Tarren MIll vs that alliance town

Honestly, the world keeps moving and will keep on moving, but these sets of memories we all have from vanilla/TBC ( and let's face it, WoTLK too, as it was actually a good expansion ) are something truly precious, at least to me. It's something I'll always feel really nostalgic about, because this game delivered a working world which we were truly apart of while we were growing up, and provided us with things we'll never again be provided with, and for that I'm truly truly sorry for the newer generations of gamers, as they'll never experience the epic world WoW was during vanilla ( TBC still had some of that feeling while WoTLK already had none, but arenajunkies and PvP videos were a huge thing during WoTLK so a sense of community and connection existed even then ). I've never experienced EQ or SW:G or any other major MMO's which were around before, MMOs which some people hold in high regard when it comes to memories, but I did experience WoW and it was a truly wonderful game while it was in its prime.

And for those saying "blabla xpack always kills WoW but WoW is still here", correct, the game is still here, the communities aren't. Also, if I ever came back seriously to this game, like, if this game once again became the best thing invented next to hot bread, I'd want my old buddies back and my old enemies back, I honestly don't give a damn about these new players that would quickly fall back to where they belong when actual good players would return to game, and I honestly don't give a damn about these servers where only one side exists, with no real world pvp possibility.
