So a better AoE swiftmend on a 6 sec cooldown.

Just blizz things.

#4607857 Mfw warriors are gutted and all sitting.

Aye it's mostly mage comps that are disgusting.

You can't stop a poly/blink combo with prismatic cloak, frost burst is pretty nuts and fires not doing bad.

Pair a mage with ANY high damage single target spec (warrior/assass rogue etc) and you'll just flat out counter like 70-80% of the teams you face.

They're also completely removed as a kill target if you don't have an offensive dispel.

Also screw blizz for removing double dispel as an option, it makes poly spam even more obnoxious.

#4590208 Opinions on Legion

Posted by Korzul on 08 July 2016 - 07:46 PM

It's pretty messed up atm.
The plus side the individual templates finally mean they can just tweak damage and healing for spec without a backlash from the pve peeps.
On the downside some of the new mechanics are mindbogglingly stupid... We have everything from 20 sec long aura masteries when you get locked out/ 2 schools of healing for disc (shadow mend)/ Vengeance sigils (which is essentially fear trap and a silence trap)/ Massive CD stacking still.
Largely though the burst and numbers for melee are so out of whack it's just a derp fest.

The pve/pvp split though is the best move they've done for a number of years, just hope they're not against completely changing some of the pvp talents post release.

#4582653 A discussion about cheaters in general.

Posted by Korzul on 15 May 2016 - 03:59 AM

So, apart from arming ourselves up with patience, is there anything else we can do to prevent people like this playing this game?

In game atm, unless your streaming all your games and sending super detailed hack reports with video evidence via email then no. The report function is nearly pointless and as far as I'm aware blizz isn't tracking reaction times in pvp.

As a game though, they wanted addon creators so opened up a lot of info to the players which now gets abused. It's why sc2 had map hacks (replay system) and why league won't introduce replays.
Then their weak ass stance on it all was the final nail, 72 hour ban for cheating? Entire thing was a fucking joke, people have been getting away with it for years and it's so ingrained into them by now nothing short of finding a way to perma ban every account they open will stop them doing it. Then when they do find someone who's been dumb enough to get caught what? 4 times? with months if not years between each wave they can still keep their bnet account and half the shit they value.

Their stance on Overwatch is the right one if they follow through. No chances, just perma ban anyone caught from the beginning. WoW's pretty fucked though, you just accept that you'll run into people cheating (with surprising frequency) and if it pisses you off too much then the games not worth your time anymore.

#4580766 Bias And Favoritism On Twitch

Posted by Korzul on 06 May 2016 - 02:55 AM

Whompin explained it better but in short:

Gross was partnered with twitch. Slander/defamation of character like that over such a media not only opens up himself to being sued but also twitch as a company. Who ultimately has a responsibility to the content that goes out.
If they'd done nothing and he'd continued throwing out random accusations eventually getting himself in trouble you can be damn sure with the resulting coverage it got people would be asking why the hell twitch didn't step in and stop it.

Also the whole twitter issue, if your affiliated with a company (sponsored/work for them etc) and you go and say some stupidly hateful/racist etc shit ANYWHERE they have the right to end that relationship. It DOES reflect badly on their image if they partner with morons.

#4572876 legion...

Posted by Korzul on 02 April 2016 - 12:14 PM

Not found anything promising yet, gameplay is worse than WoD (expected, it's alpha). The pruning is depressing and they seem have added more self healing to dps specs whilst reducing the complexity of pretty much everything. Can't outplay people who spam 2 buttons when you have no options yourself.
Also how the fuck do you make cap totem worse? Like it's a hard thing to do but they managed it on top of making spirit link clunky as fuck.

Resigned myself to grinding a resto druid (sit bear form, crushing melee without ever having to shift out) up some pvp levels to test stuff until it dc'd me in arena then threw my character into limbo for all eternity.

All in all would rate 10/10.

#4568649 Patch 6.2.3 Hotfixes March 3rd

Posted by Korzul on 04 March 2016 - 04:00 PM

if they nerfed passive wall disc would die ridiculously fast to cleaves because they have nothing to kite with. even through 30% wall i died 100>0 the other day in a fists of fury

implying shaman isn't stupidly simple either when you just need to effectively spam unleashed riptides and dispels to keep someone topped

Everything dies ridiculously fast to cleaves... being killed in a single stun is pretty much the norm for the majority of specs, gz on experiencing it once. And yeah disc is by far the simplest healer to play right now but why even get defensive about it? Don't you want the spec to have some complexity back? Do you enjoy playing disc in the current state where it's entire viability is based on the numbers saving grace can pump out?
The specs entirely binary and reliant on instant casts + being extremely tanky due to a passive. Crap like that doesn't help the game in any way when they could have something so much better in it's place.

#4469093 Holinka asking for your feedback

Posted by Korzul on 06 August 2015 - 11:22 PM

Pretty sure he's taking the piss, last beta i sent in bug reports that weren't fixed till 2-6 months after the expaision launched. Sat there watching healer crits be 175% instead of 150%, prismatic crystal be treated as an npc for crit/multi purposes (it started as a level 5 mob so you just one shot things for a week whenever you dropped it on someones head due to crit/damage scaling on low level npcs). Then blizz do a balance patch a week before launch, buff shit by 15-50% on random abilities, still leave bugs in (mops "naa boyz, stampede isn't bugged") and expect decent "pvp" feedback etc.

The beta is purely there for bug reports because changes happen so often ("we haven't balanced values yet") complaining about numbers is largely pointless.

Also, when in the last 12 months you've seen hundreds of useful forum posts about how to make the game less shit that have all been ignored... and he's asking for feedback. That's some top level trolling.

#4463018 Stop complaining about 15% healing debuff

Posted by Korzul on 30 July 2015 - 11:26 PM

Healing isn't fun after the nerf. The impact you have on a game as a healer has steadilly decreased for a long time now, it's boring never being able to really "outplay" people anymore just because dps cry on various forums everytime they have to use some semblance of intelligence before they use an offensive cooldown.

Victories feel pretty hollow when your team says "yeah we didn't do much but pve that game" and losing to sustained damage when your opponents can't even land a fucking interrupt is rather rage inducing.

But hey at least games are short right?

#4458815 Patch 6.2 Hotfixes: July 20 - July 23

Posted by Korzul on 24 July 2015 - 03:11 AM

"Damage wasn't high enough guys, lets make it so you can pve rotation and kill through hard-casted heals."

Really fucking stupid change if they don't up trinket resil.

#4454114 Ultimate goal for PvP

Posted by Korzul on 16 July 2015 - 12:10 PM

Where exactly do you get that HPS is 158% of DPS (of 2 players) on live? Calling bullshit on the stat which you've based your entire post on.

#4443752 Huge DQ/ban wave

Posted by Korzul on 27 June 2015 - 02:04 AM

Whats your refund policy looking like?

We do not issue refunds for completed services and cannot be held responsible for phenomena outside of our control, such as Blizzard's actions. In case of disqualifications regarding TITLE SERVICES, only a partial refound will occur in case the rating was obtained from our side thus fullfilling our duty.

Blizz were like "This end of season dramas shit man, where the fucks bigmoran gone? Time to mix it up."

#4423564 BANNED

Posted by Korzul on 14 May 2015 - 02:43 AM

And the problem with what you are saying is that although bans get rid of hb muppets in bgs and hb faggots in arena, it doesn't replace the people who just used it for gear and alts, so you are left with half of the community you had. If not even less.

Except i'd rather they ban all HB users than ignore them all just so a few people could honor grind and level alts.
Your char shows as a hunter so you might not have experienced the frustration at queueing into a fully combat routined up/interrupt botting cleave but it completely rips the fun out of the game EVEN when you win.
The very fact that people get high with such bots destroys the any sort of competativeness there is... and don't get me wrong, this is just another pointless video game too many people waste their time on.. but we all play it to be somewhat competative and test our game knowledge/reactions against ACTUAL PEOPLE.
So fuck HB users, you're supporting one of the things that is slowly killing a game we invested time into and enjoy.

#4423543 BANNED

Posted by Korzul on 14 May 2015 - 02:25 AM

I don't really think half the people who got banned really care because of how shit the game is right now (or at least I wouldn't), but honestly if you think arena is going to be more enjoyable next season after this you are dead wrong. Yeah, you might not see kick bots or vitalics anymore which that shit only got those losers so high anyway before it even mattered but honestly... you won't be seeing any teams. You think its dead now? You just wait this is going to kill arenas.

Yeah because noone ever had to sit in long queues pre bg merge right? How will we cope...
I'd rather have long queue times again and games against real people than constantly queue into fuckwits who bought a hb plugin.
Also given i've not put any sort of emphasis on titles/ratings for years now then i'm more than happy at not having to queue into people who feel the need to cheat.
Thats not taking into account the fact the game actually feels more alive now every dungeon/bg etc isn't infested with hb controlled muppets.

#4423513 BANNED

Posted by Korzul on 14 May 2015 - 01:41 AM

Everyone like "lel yes arena will rule now no bots" until they realise majority of the people they qd with bot gear and levels are banned. You might not q into moron kick bots now but that won't matter you got no one to q with.

Or we'll just enjoy the game without 50% of the hunter/rogues we queue into not being vitalic/gladsuite routine running fuckbags?

Blizz did something right for a change and people still complain.
Anyone who's whining about getting banned for levelling.... It's a shortcut with risks, you got caught and have nothing to complain about tbh. You expect gm's to sit watching your account for extended periods of time to find out if you're maliciously botting or not?

Maybe have some common sense and not fucking bot in the 1st place if you're going to bitch about being banned?
