#4301211 enh purge spam needs to go

Posted Okayenhance on 16 December 2014 - 01:05 AM

Hahah okay i'll bite. Being as i'm one of the only vocal enhancement shamans on these forums i'm here to tell you that it's alright to have a class that can give you some troubles.

Want to know what enhance doesn't have? CC! That's right, we have the worst CC in the entire game: Hex and Crapacitor totem which by the way has 5 health and requires a major glyph & a talent & our opponents to be dribbling morons to have it work. Hex, which is the only casted CC in the game with a 45 second CD that allows your target to control their movements AND is dispellable by offensive DPS such as your beloved mage and feral partners.

So you say "wtf joke class just spam purge" Yup. You can thank Blizzard for that. See, they took away any sort of burst damage from Enhance (fuck MOP ascendance FYI) and nerfed our utility majorly by making tremor totem not usable while feared. So yes, i'm sure it sucks being purged but when your damage is the lowest of all melees in the game and BM Hunter T-Rex's have more uptime than you, you'll see why we need purge to be this way.

Maybe you should change this threads title to BM Hunters OP because they'll purge spam you from 40 yards out while CC'ing your teammates and doing unhealable unpeelable damage.

Warlock pet dispel is dumb, being on a 10sec CD.

However, what's more dumb is the new Hunter trap mechanic that traps you even if the Hunter shoots it to Uganda.

This is the most broken comp ive ever seen in wow ever. Why is the warlock able to dispel literally every single CC on the druid while even being in CC? Hunter's mark is gone so in most comps its impossible to cover the healer with another debuff.

Let me pain that picture for you.

If you have the entire RLD team cross-CCed, with dispellable debuffs, the warlock can imp dispell himself, sac the imp, then imp dispell the healer, who then can dispell the rogue.

I qued into a 2500 RLD in which the rogue literally missed 30 kicks in a row but still won because the druid is immune to all cc and can win the game by never de-targetting my healer once.

combat rogues should not have an 8 second kidney shot.

burst of speed should be removed.

Imp dispell needs some sort of internal cooldown and be non-abusable via pet sac/instant resummon.

90% of teams on the ladder have either a combat rogue or warlock, both of which seem to be pretty ridiculous atm and are much more broken than rets ever were.

Combat rogues need to be nerfed to the fucking dirt and never made viable for PvP again if this is the playstyle they invoke. Its a complete sham to the playstyle of rogues and the set-up required and skill that used to be needed to play them.

I agree that combat rogues are fucking stupid. I agree that it's retarded that the people running this comp is outstanding. But lol, this is good karma for you. Combat RLD is the new MW beastcleave, except you're just on the other end of it. You can't talk shit on these players when you literally are the exact same skill level of the people getting rating now with combat RLD, as you were with MW beastcleave (dogshit).

Completely agree that locks should not be able to have separate cooldowns for imp dispel/felhunter spell lock depending on if the pet is sacrificed or not.

Combat rogues are definitely too strong, 8 second kidney shots and unpeelable red buff Killing Sprees are insane. Also, something else mentioned less frequently that needs to be nerfed is Deadly Throw. It's ranged, has no cooldown, and stops casting for 6 seconds. Perhaps make the lockout share cooldown with kick or something?

This gearing RNG is utterly fucking retarded.  As someone who is now in week 2 without getting a single conquest piece for the RBG wins or farming ashran every single day (I should be awarded full gear for suffering through that disgusting zone that many times), I am absolutely starting to feel the gear deficit I'm currently operating on.  It's insane that you can be this many pieces behind or ahead in just 2 weeks.  Sure, it won't matter by the end of the season, but that's just a bullshit statement because even though it's true, it still means you have to sit around for a couple months waiting for gear to even out before you can play a fair game of arena.

The new gearing way is even more retarded than before.

I can't believe it was even possible to get worse, but they found a way.

You actually have to give the good people at Blizzard credit, when you think they can't come up with anything more retarded than what they have in currently, they always surprise you.

In my opinion, it is because this game is mostly social and not at all balanced. If I fail my flash in League or get wallbanged in CS I'm not bad forever, I just fucked up. These games are fair and competitive, my rating in them most likely means something close to accurate. Still, sometimes I clutch, sometimes I don't. Nobody wins every time. We have all missed lethal, we have all fatfingered something, we have all used Pain Suppression in the starting area, we have all Flashbanged our entire teams on accident and then teamkilled as many of them as possible afterwards out of shame, to make it seem like we were trolling the entire time.

Not in World of Warcraft. In this game, if you get Sapped you're trash forever. A 27 year old diabetic named Johnwald Dickson(merely a friend of the Rogue who sapped you) who, in 2004, lived with his mother Robertsa in the swamps of North Carolina will remember killing you forever. In fact, 6 years after knowing you he will tell people he farmed you on Shadowburn in Season 6. "That kid is trash." he'll say, and nobody will defend you, because nobody but him cares. You have never even been to Shadowburn. He is still playing. He has been playing this entire time.

It starts with Blizzard. Blizzard’s je ne sais quoi is making you feel like you're really good at their games. Everyone running around is the main character, the hero, the best. The same people who 3 weeks ago were posting RealID statuses about winning the next year's BlizzCon have today listed their 5 x R1 Spectral Tiger Disc Priest on EpicNPC.

These people, when they feel like they're good and known for being good, have a great deal of their self-worth invested into their characters. When they lose it's very a very emotional experience for them. Once the game stops reinforcing their delusions of grandeur, they stop caring about it and, in the same stroke, stop caring about the relationships which are no longer useful to them.

So, we have these idiots who have invested a noticeable portion of their self-worth into a game where the outcome may or may not be changed by the happenstance that their enemy was a Dwarf. Let that sink in for a second, you nerds.

That’s the whole point I think, to watch nerds get mad because they had to fight a Dwarf, basically. Anything else just seems kind of like a waste of time.

#4278673 how are you holy boys feeling a few weeks in?

Posted diglett23 on 28 November 2014 - 06:14 PM

To be completely honest with you, I think our utility is great since we provide great mobility, and we are tankier than most healers in this meta of killing the healer all game. I just feel that our heals are very weak, it takes me a bit of time to top someone off with with an MS up. I think this could be a problem since most of our heals need to be casted now and our instant heals seem lacking. I have played a bit of skirmishes and the biggest problem is dealing with teams with double lockouts. Mage/lock, boomkin/dk etc. I just feel that I have to fake cast and then juke myself to death. Whereas druid and priest can keep up with instants and absorbs. I think pallies are currently middle of the pack, and maybe with some more crit will feel a bit more strong.

Ret skillcap is probably as low as it has ever been, and there is 1 setup to play.

It's dumb

Uh Ret has always had only one.. maybe two setups..

Ret/Hunt all of WotLK (Minus lord hofflerand running Ret War and S6 Ret/Rogue)
Ret DK start of Cata
Ret Hunt since late cata till now

????

Also WotLK Ret was 10x easier to be successful in the past than it is now. Brb vindication crippling the other team's stats, brb freedom out of stuns on demand, brb infinite cleanse, brb gib people in HoJs, brb Repent, brb Wings going through defenses so doesn't matter when you use it. Brb doing whatever the fuck you want with lots of room for mistakes and being able to land kills

I'm not sure how you can think your opinion is valid regarding the skillcap if:

A ) You aren't currently playing it
B ) Aren't currently doing well with it

The reality is Ret/Hunt in currently "Meta" has very little room for error. Overlap or use something at the wrong time you get punished, and punished hard for it. If you don't lose the game because of it you get put far behind. There is no running in and blowing up people at R1 ratings. Honestly even if the game goes perfectly on your end and the other teams make mistakes you can still end up losing. That's enough for now.

everyone in this thread is actully retarded, gear is so ridiculously easy to get at the moment

if you cant spare one day to get the BEST gear for pvp in the game then maybe you should consider just quitting, its a mmo for fucks sake

Yeah cause fuck people that actually have lives and dont play WoW nonstop everyday in the basement. When you say that you can get full geared in a day, it means 12+hours of nonstop play. lol. Who the fuck even WANTS to spend that much time on this game all at once? There is a such thing known as... the outdoors, ya know?

Edit: ad if you REALLY want to do it as quickly as possile, you have to find someone else ALSO willing to put the time into it with you... And THEY have to actually BE geared.

#4212238 2014 NA Regional Drama Wrap-Up

Posted Regent on 18 September 2014 - 11:54 PM

Since there has been a lot of drama recently, I figured I would make a TL;DR thread for those of you that have successful real lives and can't sit on ArenaJunkies 24/7.

The North American Regional Qualifiers:
  • Hosted by ESL (the same company that organized the holocaust)
  • 2800 players qualify but only 50 Teams signed up
  • No seeding and random placement meant some popular teams eliminated each other right of the bat
  • Zero interaction with Blizzard, even after the ESL website wasn't working
  • People suspect Blizzard will be asking for some of the money they paid ESL back, since ESL apparently completely forgot that they were supposed to hold this tournament
Vanguards team gets knocked out because of a "no-show":
  • Timestamp does show that Vanguards team was almost 30 minutes late to their match
  • They claim they had no idea the time they were supposed to play
  • Poor organization and almost no help from ESL admin, many people think they didn't deserve the loss
  • Vanguards, being the least confrontational person in existence, made a nice forum post saying how he is slightly angry that he missed out on a chance for $40,000 USD
Jah's team gets knocked out and tries to get back in on a technicality, twice:
  • Claims his first loss was not actually the "real" game and only practice
  • Screenshots show his team agreeing it was the real game
  • Some people claim that after his second loss he tried to contact tournament admin and get it changed
  • Talbadar is "disappointed" in jah
  • Jah, unsurprisingly, calls everyone "retards" and hasn't been seen since
Wizk's team cheats and has other players, not on their roster, play:
  • By far the biggest drama generating event of the tournament
  • Wizk, Jakenotezz, and Random rogue decided to play RPS in tournament
  • Upon tournament brackets coming out, they realize they will have to fight comps that are strong against them
  • Wizk realizes that it would be too obvious to ddos his opponents, he determines he will have to come up with another way to cheat
  • Wizk replaces his rogue and rsham with an rdruid and mage who are not on his team roster and then wins multiple games (it is assumed that the mage was played by, "Piecez," and the druid by, "Rynd")
  • People (obviously) realize what is happening and he gets disqualified for cheating
  • Wizk then cries, makes a 40 minute video about why he didn't cheat, no one believes him
  • Jakenotezz, then makes a post on AJ admitting that they cheated, apologizing, and says he only did it to bang his 18 y/o e-girlfriend when he goes to New York
  • Wizk then claims he is too good for this community
  • Wizk locks in his spot next to Xandyn in the "top 5 scummiest wow players of all time"
  • Randomroguex is mad that no one knows who he is, doesn't understand the concept of why cheating is bad, and is apparently a part of some "elite cheaters club"
Multiple teams Disqualified after the tournament ends based on their geographical location:
  • Apparently it was easier to allow these people to play in the tournament and then disqualify them after they won
  • Raises multiple questions about the outcome of the tournament, since the teams who got DQ'ed knocked people out of the tournament
  • The dominant team of Jeff, Barry, and Twochainz is rumored to be one of the teams DQ'ed
Avangelyne proves he is really weird:
  • Made multiple weird posts about having a girlfriend
  • Multiple awkward tweets involving, but not limited to: old memes, obscure Norwegian cover bands, and History channel TV shows
  • All of this is okay though, because according to him, he "has a lot of friends"
Former 3rd place Blizzcon team, "PvP Live" replaces healer the night before qualifiers:
  • but apparently forget to tell him he is off the team
  • Famous monk, "Dannycarey" is replace by other famous monk, "Verdantstorm"
  • Novoz and Thugonomicz imply that Dannycarey is part of something (Illuminati?)
  • Dannycarrey still hasn't run out of mana
Glinks:
  • Surprisingly, Glinks didn't cheat or try to ddos anyone
  • Nice work, Glinks
World of Warcraft PvP Designer, "Holinka" no where to be found:
  • A week has gone by since his last sighting
  • Police have decided to end the search
  • His family stays hopeful
Arena Junkies:
  • Datacus tries really hard to get some free rep, fails miserably
  • For the first time in over a year, people are capped out on giving rep
  • If you point out any scummy things that friends of the moderators have done, you will be getting an infraction
  • Flavour is still making stupid posts
  • Dillypoo's insults have been getting noticeably better over time, possibly hitting puberty soon?
  • Bigmoran tries to dispel ddos rumors by threatening to ddos anyone who talks about it
  • Thugonomicz believes that Arenajunkies.com is actually "Horse cocks"
  • Bailamos dropped in to insult Jakenotezz for having an e-girlfriend, the irony is palpable
  • More wintrading in EU, no one is surprised
  • The "scummy dozen" continue to rep each-other in an attempt to make it seem like they have some community support
  • Ayra is still black, and still european
