I played alpha for a couple of days and we also did a lot of war games (mostly WLD vs RMP, WD vs RM, WD vs MP). The charge change fits the other mobility changes. Personally I played with 20 sec charge and it absolutely did not feel bad. In Wotlk or TBC we had to play with charge + intercept. Now we have charge and heroic leap which gives us similar mobility, if you add storm bolt to it we actually have similar range control, too. It really doesn't feel bad and with less instants in the game, it doesn't hurt the overall performance at all if you have to walk for 4-5 yards instead. The only thing that hurts is when you waste your gap closer but who would waste it? ;-)
About the CS change: Unless you're a tank, you only have 3% parry. All dodge is gone except evasion but due to the lack of overpower, evasion is finally a cooldown. So basically unless you're lacking awareness and CS into die by the sword / evasion, you're pretty much sure it'll land.
Gladiatorstance is more of a fun thing. I did a few duels vs tanks and it's not impossible to beat them. Gladiatorstance is more about being a viable dps in your raid (the dps actually looks decent, about 70-85% of a pure dps). Sure it takes a bit longer to kill a tank in gladiatorstance than it does to kill an arms warrior but keep in mind that second wind is basically gone, i.e. you don't have to worry to kill through it.
If you wonder about self healing: enraged regen looks very good atm. 2nd wind converts dmg to healing but the problem is.. you have to do dmg, so it's not viable against range classes or if you're stuck in a stun. Same with impending victory. The 20% healing done by enraged regen feel good now that battle fatigue is gone in WoD. :-)
About the stancedance thingy: I like that it's back. Last time I played it wasn't live yet but from what I've seen it won't hurt you. The game already felt very smooth but something was missing. I think stance dancing will fit into the "new/old warrior" thing they're trying to build.
The new mastery looks very good and is a lot more fun to play. No more small hits. I really like the idea of having a few big hitting abilities, after all we're using a 2handed weapon and not two 1handed swords. :-)
I played warrior (arms and prot), priest (all three specs). mage (fire) and rogue on alpha. I have to say that warrior is in a fairly decent spot. It's not a mindless class at all on alpha. Sure you lose some of your abilities but because you lost some, you actually have to think about whether you want to use (or waste) your other cds. less defensive/offensive cds makes for a much cleaner gameplay and you know that as soon as you managed to get a major defensive cd w/o using your offensive cds, the enemy will be in trouble. It's not like today "oh i forced parry nvm he still has wall". It feels much cleaner.
One last thing about the stance dancing: I think we have to "d up" again if we expect burst or stun / cc on us. We can't use rallying cry in bstance so having a good understanding of the current state of the arena game will be crucial. Are we offensive? Are we defensive? Am I on stun dr? It's not viable to sit in dstance all the time, you'll sacrifice too much dmg.
