The community is just horrible, I can't even rbg without being paranoid of joining a group that ddos's or is going to get dos'd if I join a game, and everyone in this game is so elitist its disgusting. As the community shrinks finding good partners also does which makes me not want to log on either...
Look at your comment. Back to mine. Back to yours NOW BACK TO MINE. Sadly, it is't mine. But if you stopped trolling and started posting legitimate crap it could LOOK like mine. Look down, back up, where are you? you're scrolling throught comments, finding the ones that your comment could look like, Back at mine, what is it ? it's a highly effective counter-troll. Look again, MY COMMENT IS NOW DIAMONDS
anything is possible when you think before you commet or post.
Admittedly I'm a little bored at work, and also a little tired. But something needs to be said, for those aren't already on the same page.
This thought has grilled me, and is the real reason i think anyone ever quits wow, pvpers anyways.
We are part of a formula, we have been trained to accept a terrible system and it seems were all entirely oblivious to it.
This thread is probably completely pointless as we all must be aware of this, but no one seems to talk about it anymore, we complain about specific stuff sure, but in general we just sit back and take it, its just the way it is and even though it is responsible for every other issue, we just close our eyes to it.
Every change, every new addition, every removal and tweek, its all just bullshit. It's what we wait for, to keep us coming back, to fix the new imbalance they pointlessly put into the game, so that hey it might be balanced next patch, and again, and again, and again, over and over and over. You could argue pve is responsible for this, but its not, its simlpy an excuse for blizzard to continue to be what we mistake as laziness. It's not laziness, ladies and gentlemen, its their fucking business model.
We get bored of one extremely long season, we complain endlessly about specific things over and over, a new patch here, and nerf there, and a new imbalance here. Over and over again. Sounds like im accusing blizzard of some giant conspiracy, but quite honestly at this point its pretty clear how this hamster wheel functions.
They make "mistakes", then say "oops! we didn't intend for this terrible system to not work as intended", then they reel us back in with the off chance they might fix it at some point down the road - chances are after another $15 from all of us is again safely in their pockets. It is genuinely insane.
As every season mellows out and takes for ever to finish we all just zombify and become use to it, we melt away brain cells endlessly doing the same thing accomplishing almost nothing, i mean in the end were suppose to be having fun, and dont get me wrong i do have fun when i arena with cool people, but honestly how can one sit back and even consider that its possible to have fun doing the same broken imbalnced garbage for 7 months in a row.
The thing that gets me the most, is when they finally bring in a new season, we all battled away for our titles and our gear and wait so patiently to get the next best shit, then its finally available! We all gear up like crack-fiends addicted to bigger numbers. We all hit pretty hard as the season starts and people complain, then they just buff reseilence and health pools, so even though were doing more damage and everyones all excited for this refreshing change, NOTHING HAS CHANGED lol.
Its depressing, this thread is depressing, the state of this game is depressing, but whats more depressing than anything is seeing all these quality people, all you guys, slave away as you get gouged by blizzard over and over again.
Were just part of a vicious cycle, a business model, an endlessly perpetuating and cleverly designed money making machine. Blizzard really doesn't give a shit what you say or complain about - they have it all planned out, and you'd be a fool to think otherwise.
I think you're pretty close - although I don't feel the instant crowd control, even though it's annoying, is the problem people make it out to be.
tBC had a lot of instant control as well and people didn't whine about that.
What people DID whine about in TBC was primarily 1) mana drains, 2) Spammable, back-to-back control such as MLD, and 3) "My class isn't good".
1) has definitely been resolved for good.
2) has become MUCH MUCH worse and it is the reason why it sometimes feels difficult to say outplayed. The reason it has become so bad is Blizzard constantly adding more spells - including tons of control. They had to reduce the durations to 8 seconds and it helped, but in the wrong way. It still doesn't promote foresight in trying to find out when a CC lands. It just means you're CC'd less.
3) This will always be a problem but I feel it is less so than it's ever been.
Cataclysm has it's own problems to be sure, but the real problems is really, as you say:
There are too many spells. Trying to track all those timers in your head becomes mighty difficult. Most people don't play with addons like Afflicted anymore because it would generate so many bars they couldn't keep track of it anyway.
In order to deal with these massive amounts of CC, Blizzard has added a bunch of CC breakers and immunities to the game to make it work so everyone at least gets SOME uptime.
The problem is that people just string them back-to-back, combine them with massive damage (which is also necessary in high CC environments under normal circumstances - otherwise the games would stalemate. Look at 2v2) and just tunnels someone down.
Another, more personal problem, that stems from this: I can no longer play stance-independant classes with the notable exception of mage. There are just too many buttons. Reason being my hands are ridiculously small. I can barely reach an octave on a regular piano (which is a pain in the ass too, I tell you) and so the furthest keybind I can realistically reach in a combat situation is 4, T, G, V. F1-4 is out of the equation. The problem is: I don't have enough buttons. Even when I start using shift, control AND alt modifiers. Priest has like 60+ buttons at level 70 lmfao.
There is only one solution in my opinion:
Drastically cut down on the amount of stuff EVERYBODY has. Cataclysm has come off to a good start with the talents, but we still need to simply reduce the amount of abilities in the game. That's my 2 cents.
This is fucking ridiculous. Why isn't half this entire thread banned already? I know I'm no mod but I can't ignore that.
1st post: Logical fallacy, trying to discredit the OP for his choice of class (to post with, we don't even know if he plays it )
2nd post: Attacking a strawman.
3rd post: Agreeing with the attack on the strawman.
4th post: Discrediting OP.
Inb4 6th post: Discrediting me for being a feral outside Glad range. Ugh. I thought it was the elite who was supposed to be here, not a bunch of fallible kids?
Well I'd like to take a minute just sit right there
I'll tell you how I lost my glad although you don't care
In Burning Blade I was born and raised
On the battlegrounds is where I spent most of my days
Chilling out minmaxing, relaxing all cool
And queuing some rbgs outside the lair of Gruul
When two guys that were actually pretty good
Wanted to play shadowcleave with me and go as high as we could
We faced so many melee cleaves we got scared
We decided to move to Xavius and try our luck there!
We whistled through the teams and became rank two
We wanted to be first so we kept going through
We tanked our mmr to shit cleaves so unfair
And we thought forget it time to jet out of there
We went to burning legion trying to get r1 from fives
We played too little too many afk guys.
The last week we tried to get back into shadowcleave
We failed miserably and decided to concede
Oh, btw since we're on the topic... I was just curious if any 22 year old Caucasian Males, who are Canadian and live in Southern Ontario near the border to New York State got rank 1 as a Warlock while playing on their MSi laptop as Shadowplay? Nope?? Well I guess that just leaves me...
Stop crying alot mate, try look at balance druids. They've never been good, let's start with the worst.
Edit : Maybe I'm tired, but I dont see your point in this thread. Your saying that hunters dosnt need certain buffs, but your not bringing any suggestions to make them more balanced. I think you need to buff this thread with some ideas.
