Perhaps the dumbest idea I've ever heard.

How exactly do you remove our only horror effect, which is almost always critical to ever kill or peel something?

How exactly do you give a mana class a high damage, spammable direct damage attack?

You Locks just need to be more like my asain friend Snutz, guys a beast. He also doesn't fail at 2v2.

Edit: Make port remove slows and a 20sec CD, that is all.

While these changes would make Locks competitive in 2s, they would put Locks way over the top in 3s. The amount of pressure that a Lock can ideally put out, regardless of spec (obviously pressure for Aff is through different mechanics than for Destro), is absolutely massive.. these changes attempt to make Warlocks more self-sufficient, but fail to normalize how strong Warlock pressure is. If Warlocks were wholly self-sufficient in their damage output and their control, or at least far more self-sufficient, Lock damage/control would have to be lowered.


Yeah, we need to be really careful as them pesky warlocks are dominating 3s with all that pressure flying about.

Really disagree with a lot of these. Especially the deathcoil changes, why are people so keen on lowering the CD? It's one of the best tools in the games for setting up gibs, lowering the CD to a minute or lower would, imo, be too strong and not really a fix that would actually address our glaring issues.

Beyond that, the devour change would be nice but probably OP, should just prioritize things like poly and fear, reduced damage while stunned would be nice, instant howl would be nice but probably op for destro, pet scaling is ofc needed. Training FG though, what problem does that serve? Some sort of protection on immolate, spread more damage to immolate ticks and reduce the burst of CB + Conflag because atm its too much.

I really don't think this is true anymore. It was true in TBC when we outdamaged most everyone as SL/SL, but now, as Affliction, our damage is pretty average. I think our damage stayed roughly the same relative to defenses/health pools, but everyone else's damage went up relative to our DoTs and healing potential went up relative to our DoTs.

I really would like Affliction to be improved, hopefully through a small-ish damage buff and allowing targets to be Feared while dotted more than they currently can be. If that happens nerf Destro burst all you want, I'm fine with that

Affliction damage is very unsatisfying, I do think making haunt instant would be a good way to address this, because more times than not we're having to spend globals getting away from melee when we could be, and should be, casting haunt.

Ruin 80% instead of 100% critcal strike damage.
Dispel protection for immolate.
Pets fully scaleable with its master.
Shadowburn does not require a shard.
During stuns damage is reduced by 10%.

Ruin change would affect lock DPS in pve. Moving damage to immolate ticks is the best way to address the burst problem.

Should give an immunity to snare and slowing effects for 5secs after after use then.

Edit: I haven't played my Lock since start of s5 and that was only to get my gold off of it.
