Updated the key giveaway to "who voted for one of the winners to give Authenticators" as that was originally our intention. The goal is just to make sure people vote seriously.

In addition, we are going to allow the voting to continue until Sunday at 5 PM EST. At that point, the three winners will be announced in addition to the five key winners.

just dont vote for an arena where you can get deathgripped down easily like in Dalaran where you can't even LoS it, taking you 10+seconds to get back to your target(if not chains of iced..)

Hope you don't mind me asking, but considering you're in the fansite program of Blizzard, do they ask/hear your say about anything Arena related?

i voted for pirate map, that would honestly be FUN to play, thing with sharks might have to be reworked upon and pathing might be difficult but oh lawd i want this map

I'm torn between the pirate one and the AN one tbh.
I'm leaning towards AN just because the shark/water needs to be reworked. Perhaps if the water 'spurted' you back out ala sewers pipes, and you took some damage of course, so you can't just exploit it and keep jumping in there.

A lot of these are trying too hard.
I mean seriously; the pirate ship, WSG mirror, spider kingdom, etc etc
they're all way too BG like to be playable for arena.
No comments on their effort but they're just not fit for arena play...
There where only a few good arena's to pick from imo and those where the WG keep design, and all the others without any RNG or extra floors.

i eventually decided on the shattered cave arena, most of them seemed to have large portions of the map very open (i dont want another rov. Also alot of them had random things falling from the ceiling and sharks killing people and stuff which is just silly for competetive play.
shattered cave seemed simple enough with the new element of using the ditches as los(not abusive levels of los and also not completely open). The pillar/ditches to use for los all seem within a decent reach of the open section in the middle, it seems a very smart simple and effective layout for what people should be looking for in a fair and balanced arena map.

Lots of these have way too much RNG to be worth it.

Anything with moving parts = gay.

I like either Nagrand 2.0 or Pirate Ship (Pirate ship just for looks).

Some of these have great ideas, I applaud the creativity of everyone who entered submissions.  Good stuff.

Personally, I loathe multi-floored arenas because of warlock portal.  Incredibly unfair toward melee.

Also, the arenas where you die if you fall off (pirate ship, for example) can be taken advantage of.  It's really cool, but Thunderstorm would own that arena.

New WOTLK mechanics have made so many would-be awesome arena designs complete failure for balance. :mad:
