5/5 in imp tracking? ... umm... If theres been a change that the 5% extradmg applies to track hidden too i understand it, otherweise i do not :)
rather spend the points in entrapment

Propably gonna try something similar to this for my 3v3.
Gotta do some testing is it worth it to take 5/5 to marked for death coz aint gonna have huntmark up most of the time since it still is on GCD and as MM GCDs are all used anyways.

Kind of makes up for your stings getting dispelled at least.

Worth speccing into MfD just for the non-priest/pally teams? IDK.

Bye again! This game isn't fun when you don't know anyone else that still plays.

Guys, not speccing and using hunter's mark is the most foolish thing you could possibly do. Yeah, MM is gcd starved, but it's extremely hard to argue (I'd say impossible) for spending a gcd, or two, or three, or four, to increase your AP by 15%. I mean, it's basically a BoM for yourself. Look at your weapon damage unbuffed, and then get someone to give you BoM, and tell me whether hunter's mark isn't worth using...

We're not mages or rogues, and we'll never be. That means we can't open on someone w/ no preparation and expect to kill anything. Does this fact horrendously limit our ability to switch targets quickly and burst someone before they can react? yeah, but if this bothers you, why aren't you specced BM?

Jurgwena is right, the number one thing that (probably most) Hunters can improve on is use HM more. 500 AP (and MFD if MM) is a MASSIVE increase -- going from Hateful to Furious gear.

I think HM is definitely hugely important now, and you should try to keep it up at all costs (and I admit, I'm horrible at doing so).

Thinking about the opportunity cost though, and assuming that your HM is going to be dispelled in general against most teams, is it worth it to take Marked for Death over the other stuff you're skipping out on in Marks?

This is the main question hanging on my lips too.

There's nothing else in the marks tree that will give you even close to as much of a return as MfD, especially if you use a pet for dps

edit: but maybe if we all spec out of it they'll buff it ^____^ PLAN

The point is, at least in 2v2 and some cases 3v3, the dispeller ll be chain cc´ed, so , why not put marks up?

10 seconds from scatter>trap, 6 globals +-

serpent, mark, chimera, aimed, arcane, readiness,(silence shot at trap target, +2 globals) chimera, aimed again. (as survival its way easier, less gCD, can put between explosives from LnL)

this is your burst, near 25k hp in 13 secs with bleed and serpent sting ticks.

No point to lose 5% damage 10% crit damage and 500 ap because one global cd.

This is a very important point. In most cases (this is especially true in 2's) you dont really kill anything until you cc someone and your dps until that happens isn't really that important. Whats important is that you maximise your damage during said cc. This means putting up HM whether specced for MFD or not, but if you are putting it up anyways why not spec MFD?

Also marks isn't really as gcd starved as people make it out to be. A simplified rotation could be chimera, aimed, arcane. When you fire arcane all shots have roughly 6 seconds left to cool down in meaning at least 3 globals. 6 seconds later all shots are ready and you start over. This gives you roughly 3 globals every 10 seconds to do whatever you want, fx hm'ing. Now there is a multitude of reasons why things aren't like this in reality, but it serves as a good enough example to illustrate the point.

Update for anyone wanting to try this build,

Did Hunter/uDk/hPally with me useing 29.5khp(32k with kings) build and found it's a must for the 3's bracket nearly every game that i got focused i lived because of the +6000hp it gives you that extra time to live when your healer is in those last seconds of CC and if they make a quick switch you can usualy make it out with a few thousand left.

I played around with all trinkets Battlemasters/Greatness/Bandits, Greatness is very good but it procs at some horrible times(e.g when you're playing defensive), with Battlemasters i found it rarely saved me since they mostly focused our DK & Bandits i found the best alot of the games are about zerging a target and with ebon plauge effecting the proc seeing it crit upwards to 4k its just to good to pass up.

So anyone whos still woundering if this is the way to go try it! works amazing and anouther bonus is your pet gains ~6-7k hp.
