I just have a quick question as to how you think Tier 8 and 8.5 will affect this setup you have with running 4 piece tier 7.5. With the new bonuses do you think that tier 8.5 will be better than wearing 4 piece 7.5?

unless something changes with frost, i think using 4pc t7 will still be best because the 4pc bonus is what makes the frost burst possible in the cycle i listed

you are one of the better dk for sure but i really dont understand how you can survive.
much pve gear, low resi, no UA, no rune tap, in a mirror vs a dk with UA and Runetap, more resi than you i think he can survive to your burst while you cannot.

UA really worth 1point, not just for the 25% str but for survive when your healer are CCed/Silenced, not to mention lichborne not give 25% miss to your enemy anymore.

By the way, how the hell do you have 39% with any reasonable PvP set w/ 4pc t7?

I can't get above 35% without going under 300 resilience, and even 300 I think is low. I have pretty much all the best possible PvE gear (non-ulduar) except gothiks bracer (rng loot is rng).

Are you wearing a trinket with passive crit, and how much resilience do you have in the gear you got 39% crit with?

This.

Well I checked on live and I had 37%. I guess I got the 39% from PTR when I had a shirt of the uber on. Dunno what else to tell you, though.

Okay im getting 32%(The Jawbone):<
Anyway, do you use pvp gloves?
I find the hit benefit i get from my valorus gloves pretty crucial, sitting at 190 hit. So I am using deadly chest and 4x val and all the other pvp (crit) ascesories.

Edit: Oh,and I am not human o/

May be a stupid question, but PVP gloves for COI I imagine. Meaning do you skip IT and just COI instead? To help your Frost/Unholy rune rotation?

As Proseph has been asking, can't seem to find the 'right' rotation although getting close I feel! Thanks for the updates and been testing spec, works nice so far.

Not sure if you're asking Nathy himself but I'll take a stab.

Generally I try to judge what I use based on what I'm fighting. Hence Warrior/Paladin/DK I use HB on cooldown. Everything else I use Oblit and HB only when range is needed. Have yet to bother with PS. Generally bloodstrike unless I'm trying to spread FF for snare.

frost doesnt have a set rotation. it has a priority.

it -> ps ->

if killing machine is active, and you have 1f1u, you howling blast. if rime procs and no KM, you can bs bs and see if you get a km proc for HB, otherwise just dump it and OB with the runes.

then you can oblit x3 after that. oblit is your go-to move specifically when wearing 4pc t7. you have so many crit modifiers for it and it generates so much rp that its worse to use HB on even a plate target unless rime or KM are on.

thats for heavy armor targets though, oblit is always better on cloth and leather. dont ignore ps though, its decent damage and multiplies your oblit and you wont be using that rune for anything else anyway

So do I still have to it even though col does the same thing? I heard something about it overriding, I have no clue about dks.

And about glyphs - I'm using obliterate and hungering cold but would frost strike or howling blast be better?

I think you just throw an Icy Touch (not chains, cuz chains doesnt proc Chillblains)
Then just Oblit for FU, blood strike your blood runes, and oblit those when they come back.
Howling Blast Freezing Fog procs
Frost Strike killing machines

You need frost strike in order to get the HC Burst sequence
