Old news, lol. Everyone has been doing this on the TR for like a week now.

JFYI, its all attacks, including white/wound/evisc etc. Makes AR/Prep Kidney Shots pretty disgustingly strong.

This is absolutely nuts. I spent the last 2 days filling out GM petitions because I found that my damage as backstab/shadowdance was way lower than it should be against zero resilience or full resilience targets using ambush, backstab, and eviscerate.

GM's said there was nothing wrong, tech support people told me to screw off, but now that I read this thread, I realized that this glyph is affecting every ability.

I had recently changed out the backstab glyph for vigor in preparation for backstab's nerf, and I just put it back on and now my damage has evened out.

This is a serious problem for Shadow Dance, as it's not exactly popular to begin with compared to Mut/Prep and that is with the bugged 20% damage factored in.

I would hate to drop the spec, because I enjoy it, but if next patch I'm doing 20% less damage across the board, is there even a point to continuing? I hope Blizzard posts something about this and what their feelings are about what strengths and weaknesses a rogue specced deep sub should be doing over a hybrid spec that gets the key survivability talent in sub anyway (prep).

Anyone else notice this?

I'm noticing it across the board. But I could be crazy right now. Like I said, I was flipping out cause I basically respecced the other day back to PvP and was just doing shitty damage, but it coincided with me switching out backstab glyph.

When I was hitting targetting dummies, and a naked priest, I was shadowstep ambush critting them for about 4.5-5.5k and eviscerate critting for about 4k. To me, it seemed like 40% of what I was normally doing, but I'm willing to grasp onto anything, and it sounds like this glyph is a big part of the answer.

Anyone think it's worth speccing into 3/3 imp kidney shot for a 29% damage increase?

Backstab glyph brings mutilate exactly back to where it was pre-nerf. Imp Kidney wasn't worth speccing back then. Very likely not worth speccing now.

So you're saying, vs stunned targets, all your dmg is increasing by 20%? Seems like some people are saying it's increasing dmg by 20%, all the time. J/wing which it is, either way it's pretty big.

Depending on how you spend your energy, it's up to like a 10% damage increase, and obviously 20% burst. Pretty amazing.

Are you SURE? Because I get 0 benefit from it when I stunned target dummies to test it.

But I got a damage increase when I glyph'd it compared to when it wasn't glyph'd just globally. (no stun)

I tested it

Did 40 eviscerates with glyph on non stunned and 40 glyphed while kidneyd.

They was a very obvious difference of about 20% on max min and average,

I just tested it and I am pretty sure it must have been already hotfixed ... my mutilates did exactly the same damage with and without the glyph.
