I can only speak to 3v3, but it's great as long as you can land it. That usually means I have to use DG to get their healer into position - can't just pop sprint and dash over there.

well i guess that doesn't really matter in pvp anyway, you'd need blood strike, heart strike and death strike glyph and wouldn't have a slot for DRW glyph.

Hopeuflly they are buffing the DRW dmg big time, because right now with 100 RP the rune weapon only lasts 11 seconds...


Help me out here becuase I am missing something. Why would you glyph blood strike? Would the 20% damage after the heart strike snare really make it worth missing out on a second heart strike that would extend the snare on both targets if they are standing close enough? Or does the blood strike glyph affect heart strike as well?

Usually we'll use DG+HC as soon as I see their healer start to cast, then dump a TNT proc into the focus and that forces trinket nearly every time.


did you just say that you rely on a tnt stun on the healer while you're dpsing someone else to get a kill? /boggle

I meant a LNL proc on the dps target, not a TNT proc on my focus frame =p

I worded that terribly, haha.

Calling this now, but if frost stays in its current form, even unholy is gonna have a hard time comparing.

1 minute 10 yard AOE blind is pretty silly, obliterate + FS combos will be deadly ( considering in my gear now, on PTR my FS is critting in the 6kish area and Obliterates for 8kish in UP ).


I agree, the problem with frost was always a lack of a bit of control that unholy had via ghoul, maybe it still lack that to the same degree that unhooly will have via NOTD, but frost is just looking like the more consistant spec for pressure.

psh you can run 0/0/0 and still win games, its just blood is just that many times worse than the other 2 specs right now in about every aspect

Since this is the closest thing to a blood discussion thread.
I don't think the ghoul is worth getting for blood. First thing to go in every match and would take too long to get back, not worth the mana to heal either.
Plus ghoul+pact is just too nice.

You mean Two-Handed Weapon Specialization? Maybe, depends what healer I pick in 3.1. It's hard to finalize a spec for a patch that isn't done yet. Looking at it again, I'd probably take Virulence over both. We'll see.

Although, I'd really like to take acclimation. I intend to play with a rdruid and mark+acclimation would be sick against casters, and even other DKs.
