During BC, *good* warriors would often taunt pets when they knew they were about to get trapped to hopefully break the trap.

Now, DKs will often taunt pets to get more runestrike crits and to keep enemy pets (felhunters/other ghouls) off their healers.

I realize most people have pet attack macros-but has anyone/does anyone use distracting shot on enemy felhunters/ghouls/crabs to prevent spell lock/stun/pin to finish off your partners?  Would it even be worth the GCD?  Now that it's a taunt effect, it seems like it would be one more thing you could do (esp with the RoS change) to help keep your partner up.

taunts dosn't work if the pet is set to passive, and they always should be. Far as I know atleast

Not true.

If a pet is attacking something, you can always Taunt it off a target.

Passive meant as in not attacking anything so if it beside the hunter or on stay then yes taunt would not work.

Back on topic I would distracting shot BM pets or fel guard pets on my partner.

I really hope blizzard does something about this. because the Impossibleness of cleave to beat any comp, really, is just an excruciating process that involves immense skill and luck. Buff warriors death knights and pallys, nerf mages and rogues.

Yeah, i've used it quite often on warlock pets attacking totems. Works as long as it's set to attack something XD. Can be quite useful at times..

I use it to get traps procced if I find myself sitting at long range in 3s, and pets stomping totems ofc.
