Unfortunately destro and demo will fail without dispel protection. It's one of the reasons shadowpriests had to play double dps or with ua warlocks to get anywhere.

Pretend you are in a tunnel and the only way out is through the first thing you tab targeted.

Possibly, but without the Lock the Death Knight can actually die. What makes Lock/DK/Pal different from DK/Rogue/Pal or DK/Hunter/Pal? Three things: constant damage on multiple targets, constant CC on multiple targets, but most importantly, the DK cannot die in Lock/DK/Pal without the Lock/DK/Pal team being massively outplayed. Warlock simply has so many ways to stop incoming enemy damage or put out such obscene damage that any attempt to kill the DK would simply result in a single heal being missed for whatever reason (Strang, Spell Lock, LoS, range) and someone would die. Whereas in Rogue or Hunter variants, the general strat is "open on DK, swap to Rogue/Hunter when the opportunity arises", that strat is simply not viable.

You cannot force the DK defensive, because he knows that a) if the enemy team trains him, he will simply pull them into the open and into their sure deaths to the Warlock and B) even if he does get trained, his team has enough peels and he has enough defensive cooldowns to stay alive until the damage overwhelms the other team.

you do know that RMP destroys that setup right.

thats funny, because ANY other dps that plays with a lock partner is always a viable target rogues, hunters, boomkins, etc. it pretty much revolves around the dks OPness: decent aoe damage, silence, interupt, stun, HUGE single target damage + grip to peel a melee of a lock. lock adds the extra aoe damage, but it all stacks on top of the DK.

Oh gosh poor you, losing 9% crit in exchange for 6% overall damage...

Siphon Life - 20%
Pandemic - 4%
UA on offtargets - 5-10%

We didn't get a nice juicy flat damage increase. We got our damage gutted. I don't even get why you're whining about hunter nerfs on the lock forum anyway, are you just attention seeking?

Warlocks were on par with hunters on the OP scale this change was more than needed

It's not even close to the same level, like everyone else, you have a counter.

actuly its a 4% total dmg reduc and 9%crit reduc and our only way to prevent a healer casting if we chose to focus them its fine though cause the RNG from explosive shot needed to go, and the reason im even posting in this thread is if you've vsed a hunter you'll notice you will never have lost, maybe just MAYBE we have a chance to beat lock teams now :)

Right so now hunter teams have no counter.

You don't see a problem with that?

This also makes the teams that counter locks even more effective, and the ones we were close with, will beat us too.

This game isn't balanced around hunter teams vs warlock teams. I would be happy if fury warriors and rogues were nerfed too, but the world doesn't revolve around warlocks.

Fury warriors were nerfd;)

I doubt it will go through, for 41 points it seems absurd to make the ability single target only. It's really our only way to punish stupidity and protect CC's which are much needed against DK/Hunter teams in order to succeed in the first place. With the recent dispel mechanic revamp(fear being prioritized on dispels) I just don't see the logic behind this change and hope it's an unintended bug.

The thing that confuses me the most is the current state of Deathknights and Hunters is completely out of control and their overall representation is significantly higher yet we're the ones getting consistently shit on. I had high hopes for 3.1 and it looked like the class was about to get some love, I guess we'll just have a group hug with the mages + rogues and hope for the best.

seems like it might be a good thing all our gear has crit on it, since this will kill affliction.
