Knowing other classes and what they do in many situations.

Keybinds are necessary for any player planning to go 1800+

Keybinds and a good player make the world of a difference when it comes to playing arena and succeeding. Since my partner quit when WOTLK came out, I haven't had any urge to arena since my server is one of those backwater fail ones with a pool of talent, even though warlock/druid isn't anywhere nearly as good now.

As everyone says here, find a partner you can mesh with well, get a comfortable keybind setup, and put in a lot of practice, it'll click eventually.

At the moment, gladiator just depends on team comp. I watched a resto shaman + ret paladin team playing live stream in the 2300 bracket last week.

The ret paladin clicked every single ability, no exaggerations.

I pretty much quit right then and there.. haven't logged in since. I'm not going to waste my time on a game that's so easy that a clicker can be top 10 on their BG.

"Love should be put into action!"
screamed the old hermit.
Across the pond an echo
tried and tried to confirm it.

Knowing every ability/CD a class has and when/how they will use it against you. High situational awareness and overall watching what is happening around you not just who you're targetting.
Knowing exactly how to execute your CDs with your partner. Total synergy with your partner is the only way to truly play "well" together.

I click travel form ;-P when I was resto. Other than that... the only other thing I would occasionally click would be barkskin.

I click my drinks on my shaman, but that's it.

I'll have to agree though, clicking is detrimental to your success. I played with a clicking rogue to 2k+, a clicking druid to 2k+, a clicking priest to 2k+. As soon as I replaced him with a non-clicker, we instantly got 100+ rating higher.

I'm having my clicker friend roll hunter, where it doesn't really matter, and we're gonna try rsham/hunter.

anyone else notice that 90% of the "clicker" fans don't got past gladi title?
A bit rich coming from myself ^^ but sad to say this is first season i've pvp'd on my priest and keybindings really are essiantl maybe not got the holy pala,dk,warrs of the world but most anything else relys on split second decision making and reactions.

play the piano, get some of that finger dexterity and coordination for quicker, more precise keybinds and separate finger coordination!!

but seriously everyone needs to keybind. If you're a clicker the best way to do it, is add 1 new ability every day to your keybinds. If you keybind everything from scratch it will become overwhelming and confusing. If you add 1 thing every day at first you will hardly use it and by the 3rd or 4th day itll be second nature to you. Keep in mind even if your keybinds are uncomfortable, the more you use them, the more comfortable they become. For example I use V to pummel, and Shift-V to pummel my focus without losing target. Shift-V has to be one of the dumbest binds for such a clutch ability, but I've used it so much that I'd rather it be Shift-V than 1 or 2.

seriously stop clicking, and stop making excuses for clicking

it doesn't take very long to bind your keys

I really hope blizzard does something about this. because the Impossibleness of cleave to beat any comp, really, is just an excruciating process that involves immense skill and luck. Buff warriors death knights and pallys, nerf mages and rogues.

the biggest difference I believe is attitude, and communication.

First some people get way too shy on vent, or thinks that a stun or silence is too trivial to call it out on vent. In arena, every little detail should be called out, and many people don't grasp this. Just make your partner call out everything, PS/burst/cc etc

Then its attitude. When playing with people in 1300-1800, after they lose they don't say anything and don't reflect what they could have done against that comp. Be daring and try something new. Most of the time people in lower bracket will rather say something along the line of "omg nerf dk/hunter/[insert class here] or we got counter comp hardcore". This won't improve your gaming, it will actually make it worse since you pretty much convinced yourself you're gona lose whenever you face the same comp again. its better to reflect what you could have done and even called out what your teammates have done or their errors (if they can't take criticism, leave team).

Practice makes perfect, but banging head on wall won't improve your chance at winning. PvP is all about adapting and trying new strats

Doing moves to getting/keeping , The enough adventage to wining arena.

A decent player on much arenas will be play on a tempo of another team a Gladiator team on a much arenas they are will be make a tempo.

Like others have mentioned:

Situational awareness
General knowledge of other classes besides your own
Reaction time
key binds are a must IMO.
