hmm we should be able to work it just like warriors did where they would sunder up a sheeped mob

Perhaps adding a /targetlastenemy in a second line could prevent this?

I'm at work so can't test this, but might be worth a shot.

The idea behind /cast [target=X] SOME_SPELL is that you don't have to do that.

For the purpose of 'SOME_SPELL' the target will be EQUAL to X (mouseover, focus, targettarget, PLAYER_NAME, etc.).

Adding a /targetlastenemy or /targetlasttarget would change your target unpredictably.

I realize what the purpose is, I also have the mouseover macro for Wing Clip and, if you test it with the crash test dummies you'll see it does change your target, so, in theory, the /targetlastenemy "should" fix that.

I see. Basically interpreting unpredictable behavior and counteracting it :P. I'll give it a shot when I log on today.

im starting to play my hunter in arenas , and i was wondering if steady shot its useful as a Survival hunter , or what roation i should use to preassure more on dmg in arenas , i sometimes feel like i need any kind of dmg and isnt up for a kill or something like that , maybe im doing something wrong? also when lock and load , or w/e its called that u have 2 ES in arrow , what do u do , just shot all those ES in a row or wait for an Auto shot between them , when u are trying to nuke? , also would like to see any POV hunter video to see some tactics if anyone have any link or video will appreciate. thanks.

You steady shot when you don't need to move, don't need to cast any control abilities, and ES and Aimed shot are on cool down.

@ ES
Why would you wait for auto shots? Auto shots have nothing to do with ES. The only reason to delay ES is so you don't clip the last dot tick. ES takes 2.00 seconds to do it's damage if you fire the 2nd ES before the first finishes you'll overwrite the last tick and lose a tick of damage. Generally the best option is to just manually pause .5 seconds between shots or if another ability needs used you can use that between.

An example would be LNL procs, ES on dps, scatter shot his healer, ES on DPS
or ES>Aimed>ES you'll definitely want to slide aimed in there if it's falling off.

Is BM the way to go when leveling? I'm looking for a good leveling spec.

MM with the mana recovery talents is pretty good, BM + Tenacity and you can solo most any quest outside of G5(and still a few of those).

And serpent sting/hunter's mark are on your target.

yes. Spec BM and get a tenacity pet (bear, turtle, crocadile). Once you get Thunderstomp, AOE your way to 80.

Can't we put up a "Ask for hunter buff" guideline at the top of this FAQ?
something like this:
Q: How do we get buffs
A: Well, think first of most balenced change you can think of and then double the effect of the change by ten times.
For example: I believe that our freezing trap should multiply and trap all enemy targets within 30 yards and have 90% dispell resistance. And if it missed me as the hunter should get a 20 sec debuff with 50% less dmg taken also absorbing 30% of team members dmg taken.

Now what we get is maybe 2-3 bug fixes and a working deterrence.

old RoS was hawtsauce.

however new RoS is really nice vs wizard cleave, especially elemental shamans, as being uncritable ends up being WAY more damage mitigation than 30% absorb, due to their CRAZY % crit modifiers. 4k hit, 11k crit?>.> same with destro, and really frost.

I think the real strength of new RoS is that RMP/Wizard cleave can't just CC me 3 times in the first 20 seconds and zerg down my healer/partner while I can do absolutely nothing to help.

Being able to RoS a Resto Shaman for the duration of a Rogue stunlock/poly is a huge help.

All I know is that I don't mind the new RoS, but the old version is better.
