You'll most likely go conflagrate over SP in next patch, though I can't say I'd ever use SP glyph.

It's basically going to be the choice between Felhunter and Conflag, depending on spec and preference.

As for editting things myself, well, it's his post :P

Rewording the choice of glyphs in the FAQ the way you did is a good way to put it.

Could you add the amount of haste needed to get your GCD to 1 second? ( sry i have no clue what it is at 80 : / )

And resilience needed to get crit dmg reduction to 30 %. ( was it 1280 or something like that?)

Those were asked a fair bit earlier seasons if i remember right :D

EDIT: "To reduce a 1.5s cast to 1s, you would need 50% haste. Assuming you get roughly 10% from the raidbuffs, this would be 1311 Haste Rating. Unreachable without crazy haste stacking."

i would also like to know the amount of haste u need to get GCD down to 1 second if someone could do the math.

and i think HoT is def. one of the best glyph choices u can have.

It might be in the sticky on general section.

If i use all my resilence gear it puts me on 1120 resil, which is just above 30% less damage from crits

i think the cap is 33%, which would put it at like.. 1260?

1230 is the cap atm at 33% reduction on critdmg.

i wonder how you got this much resilience. did you gem all out resilience?

1085 is pretty easy, just using JC prismatic resi gems in blue sockets, and normal 16 resi gems in yellow.

Could imagine with all reds being resi/spellpower, 1120 is reachable. Or being BS/JC.

Corr = second strongest but def the strongest as any spec that doesn't have NF already.

It stacks with NF.

I know that, but really, what's your point? 4% chance to proc is infinitely better than 0% (i.e. no nightfal)

7.84%(stacking NF) is better than 4% but it isn't as big as it is for non NF specs.

Probably because your previous post was somewhat vague as to if you knew it stacked.

But yeah, I'd use Corr as any spec hands down.

correct me if i'm wrong, and I know most people don't use glyph of searing pain anyways, but isn't the part where it says "A 1000 damage crit becomes 1200" wrong? It's worded the same way as ruin, which (5/5) "increases the critical strike damage bonus of your Destruction spells by 100%", so you increase the normal +50% spell dmg crit bonus by 100% = +100% = 200%. If we do the same thing with Searing Pain, w/o ruin, you do .5 * 1.2 = 60% extra dmg from a crit, meaning a 1000 crit searing pain (~666 base, no ruin or glyph) is turned into a ~1066 crit (666 * 1.6), not 1200.

Basically, I think the extra +20% dmg from a crit is applied to the crit bonus (50%, or 100% w/ ruin), not the crit itself.

a crits total damage = base damage + (base damage)x(crit modifier). searing pain glyph only affects the crit modifier, and doesnt increase the damage from the base damage at all.

if you saw a 1000dmg crit from searing pain, then added the glyph in, the glyph would add an extra 20% from the extra crit damage(500), which would make the crit damage 500(100% + 20%) = 600 so the overall damage is 500 (base) + 600 (crit) = 1100.

edit: im dumb and didnt realize you did your math not including ruin. same idea, i just explained it a bit differently.
