Tenacity pets are the best cause they provide highest survival (40% more healing taken) and Roar of Sacrifice
of these top choices gonna be:
- Crab - 4s root
- Scorpion - extra dot that prevents Viper Sting dispels

I think crabs are going to be awesome.

Especially when you catch someone out in the open. You can then root them and do what a hunters good at for 4 seconds rather than chasing them around a pillar

Your giving way too much credit to Retadins.  They rely too much on HoJ and quick burst, they run OOM fast even with JoW and Replenishment up and their own stuns can be simply removed by another team with a Ret Paladin which you'll see a lot of this season.

When gear evens out, people are wearing Tier3 Arena gear and every slot has a resil piece on your going to see paladin burst drop a lot, couple that with the fact that they go OOM in a minute and they have no snare except for "repentance" and "hoj" and people with retadin partners are gonna be sad.

One of the BIGGEST problems I see with having a ret paladin is a lack of snare, even tho chains of ice can be dispelled those 2 seconds where the target is moving at like 10% speed is helpful in maintaining our damage and keeping our distance.

51 Survival/MM hybrid is going to provide a lot of utility, burst, and survivability as well as our own version of Replenishment and JoW, coupled with a DK you have tons of kiting and burst options as well.

I'm still going to try out ret. The ret paladin I'm playing with is extremely good. I want to fail with that setup before I go looking to replace anyone.
