So, all the specs got their traps back. 

Any thoughts?

  • Marked Shot Rapidly fires shots at all targets with your Hunter's Mark, dealing (250% of weapon damage) Physical damage and making them Vulnerable for 30 7 sec. Vulnerable Damage taken from Marked Shot and Aimed Shot increased by 50% for 30 100% for 7sec. 100 yd range. Instant.

Talents

  • Barrage Rapidly fires a spray of shots for 3 sec, dealing [ 630% of rw + 630% of RW ] Physical damage to the target and an average of [ 315% of rw + 315% of RW ] Physical damage to each other enemy all enemies in front of you. Usable while moving. Hunter - Level 90 Talent. 60 Focus. 40 yd range. 3 sec cast (Channeled). 20 sec cooldown.
  • Dire Frenzy Causes your pet to enter a frenzy, performing a flurry of 5 attacks on the target, and gaining 30% increased attack speed for 8 sec, stacking up to 3 times. Generates 25 Focus. Beast Mastery Hunter - Level 30 Talent. 100 yd range. Instant. 15 sec cooldown.
  • Patient Sniper (New) Gain the patience of a veteran sniper, increasing the damage bonus of Vulnerable by 15% every 1 sec. Marksmanship Hunter - Level 60 Talent.
  • Sentinel Applies Your Sentinel watches over the target area for 20 sec, applying Hunter's Mark to all enemies near the target every 0 sec. Marksmanship Hunter - Level 60 Talent. 40 yd range. Instant. 1.5 sec cooldown. 60 sec cooldown.
  • Sidewinders Launches Sidewinders that travel toward the target, weaving back and forth and dealing [ 300% of AP ] Nature damage to each target they hit. Cannot hit the same target twice. Applies Vulnerable to all targets hit. Generates 50 Generates 35 Focus. Also replaces Multi-Shot. Marksmanship Hunter - Level 100 Talent. 40 yd range. Instant.
  • Way of the Mok'Nathal Raptor Strike also grants you Mok'Nathal Tactics, increasing your attack power by 3% for 8 10 sec, stacking up to 4 times. Survival Hunter - Level 15 Talent.

Beast Mastery

  • Dire Beast Summons a powerful wild beast to attack your target for 8 sec. Generates 12 Focus over its duration. Hunter - Beast Mastery Spec. 40 yd range. Instant. 12 sec cooldown.

Marksmanship

  • Aimed Shot (Beast Mastery, Survival) A powerful aimed shot that deals [ 0.619 * 204% of weapon damage or 0.038 * Level * 204% of weapon damage + 0.238 * 204% of weapon damage or 204% of weapon damage ] Physical damage. A powerful aimed shot that deals [ 0.619 * 250% of weapon damage or 0.038 * Level * 250% of weapon damage + 0.238 * 250% of weapon damage or 250% of weapon damage ] Physical damage. Damage increased by 100% if the target is not in combat.
  • Aimed Shot (Marksmanship) A powerful aimed shot that deals [ 0.619 * 204% of weapon damage or 0.038 * Level * 204% of weapon damage + 0.238 * 204% of weapon damage or 204% of weapon damage ] Physical damage. A powerful aimed shot that deals [ 0.619 * 250% of weapon damage or 0.038 * Level * 250% of weapon damage + 0.238 * 250% of weapon damage or 250% of weapon damage ] Physical damage. Damage increased by 100% if the target is not in combat.
  • Arcane Shot A quick shot that causes [ 0.615 * 130% 150% of weapon damage or 0.038 * Level * 130% of weapon damage + 0.231 * 130% of weapon damage or 130% 150% of weapon damage + 0.231 * 150% of weapon damage or 150% of weapon damage ] Arcane damage. Tar Trap reduces enemies' movement speed by 90% for the first 8 seconds (NYI). Survival: After 2 sec, your Traps become fully armed, making them especially devastating when triggered by a target who is not in combat: Freezing Trap will not break due to damage for the first 8 seconds. Tar Trap reduces enemies' movement speed by 90% for the first 8 seconds (NYI). Explosive Trap deals 300% increased damage. Hunter - Survival Spec.

Survival, Beast Mastery, Marksmanship

  • Freezing Trap Hurls a frost trap to the target location that incapacitates the first enemy that approaches for 60 sec. Damage will break the effect. Limit 1. Trap will exist for 60 sec. Hunter - Survival Beast Mastery, Marksmanship Spec. 40 yd range. Instant. 30 sec cooldown.
  • Tar Trap Hurls a tar trap to the target location that creates a 8 yd radius pool of tar around itself for 30 sec when the first enemy approaches. All enemies have 50% reduced movement speed while in the area of effect. Trap will exist for 60 sec. Hunter - Survival Beast Mastery, Marksmanship Spec. 40 yd range. Instant. 30 sec cooldown.

I'm really looking forward to traps being available again for all specs. I hope marks doesn't run into focus issues with the regen nerf on sidewinders. I haven't found myself all that excited about arenas since I've come back to the game a couple months ago, but I'm definitely going to get some games in after this patch gets released.

yeah, I wouldn't exactly bitch too much as a hunter when your casts (on the run too mind you) aren't interrupted and your auto attacks FAR outweigh a likewise spam of icelances.

Surv/rdruid is already fucking retarded in 2s with 80% of time spent in cc for the enemies, I'm really not looking forward to the next hunter epidemic, I had enough of that in WoD.  :(

current survival is pretty fun to play but i doubt most hunters wanna play a melee

tbc hunter is also lit imo. mm / sv / bm everything would be viable nowadays

 

tbc-at would be so awesome. sad the nextgen-wow thing died with 100ppl playing on it few years ago :(

Expert Trapper All of your traps are improved in the following ways: Freezing Trap When Freezing Trap's incapacitate effect ends, the victim and all neaby enemies' movement speed is reduced by 50% for 4 sec. Explosive Trap Increases Explosive Trap's damage to the triggering enemy by 75%. Tar Trap Enemies moving through the tar have a chance to be rooted in place for 4 sec until cancelled. Steel Trap Your Steel Trap also deals an immediate [ 500% of AP ] Bleed damage when triggered. Caltrops Increases Caltrops damage by 50%. Survival Hunter - Level 100 Talent.
Explosive Shot Fires a slow-moving munition directly forward. Activating this ability a second time detonates the Shot, dealing up to [ 1,000% of AP ] Fire damage to all enemies within 8 yds, damage based on proximity. Marksmanship Hunter - Level 60 Talent. 20 Focus. 40 yd range. Instant. 30 sec cooldown.
Farstrider Your ability critical strikes have a 10% 15% chance to reset the remaining cooldown on Disengage.

PvP Talents
Sniper Shot Take a sniper's stance, firing a well-aimed shot dealing (822% of weapon damage) Physical damage. Increases the range of all shots by 40% for 10 sec. Marksmanship Hunter - Tier 5 PvP Talent. 50 Focus. 40 yd range. Instant. 6 sec cooldown.

Survival
Explosive Trap Tosses a fire trap on the ground in front of you that explodes when an enemy approaches, causing [ 350% of AP ] Fire damage and burning all enemies within 5 yards for [ 35% of AP ] additional Fire damage over 10 sec. Trap will exist for 60 sec. Hunter - Survival Spec. Melee range. Instant. 30 sec cooldown. 40 yd range. Instant. 40 sec cooldown.
