New to "competitive" pvp (ie: actually caring about rating and pushing 2200+) and am looking to be a mage in Rogue/Mage/Priest.  I am aware the strat is based on heavy control/CC, but could anyone expand upon that?

heavily opener reliant. cross in opener, force defensive CDs. Dependent on effectively crossing to create 3v2/3v1 situations. Run when you dont have a kill opportunity.

Thanks for the advice.  An "ideal" opener might be:

-Sap/Sheep on healer
-Sap/Sheep on most threatening DPS (Frost DK...?)
-Early pressure on non-CC'ed DPS

-Heavy reliance on Polys to peel, as melees are insane (ie: ret pallies during wings)

Would there be any meta situations where opening in invis to get an early poly off would *not* be a good idea?
