I've been playing a lot with the infernal and sometimes switching to doomguard, but every castbar had the silver shield around it. In bgs, in arena, while doing dungeons, etc. I thought something was wrong with my lock, but it seems the game checks if you have an interrupt when it loads and if you dont have it at that point, it shows the shield on every cast afterwards.
It seems that I could fix it by summoning a felhunter/doomguard, typing /reload and then I could use any pet I wanted. It's been making me crazy for a couple of days. Is it the same for everyone else? Are there any solutions that aren't as clumsy?

The sensible thing for every class would be to show a shield for uninterruptable spells only. That way you'd know that neither you nor your party members can interrupt the cast. Instead they made - this - , where they're trying to tell you, the noob player, that you don't have an interrupt.
It really boggles my mind why they even bother making these kinds of changes in the first place. I mean seriously, no one ever complained about seeing regular castbars even if their class didn't have any actual interrupts, it's like trying to find a fix for something that never had any issues.
Which blizzard messed up on the programming level.

Pretty sure this is how it functioned in Mists(?) and WoD, and is how it is meant to function. Something changed in Legion and it fucked it all up.
