It all started when I was 13 and fed up with RuneScape, having lost an Abyssal Whip in the wilderness due to my friend spamming "@@@@@@" on top of my character so I couldn't see my health bar. I was so tilted and wanted to play another game. Not too many days later I saw an ad of "World of Warcraft" which looked awesome! I had to try it out, so I went on "worldofwarcraft.com" and downloaded the trial version.

I tried a night elf hunter at first, inspired by no other than Legolas. I kept fighting all sorts of feline enemies and kept dying because I was fighting them with a god damn fishing pole for some reason. Somehow I got "resurrection sickness" and my character felt even weaker, so I decided to reroll a warrior. Best decision ever, I had so much fun playing a warrior! I remember taking the boat to Darkshore and being invited to my first guild ever, <Bears of Redemption>.

Darkshore was such a beautiful place. I stayed there until I was level 20, killing countless crabs on the shores... "Why am I not leveling up to 21 already?" I asked myself often... until some helpful fellow explained to me that a trial account is capped at level 20. What a fool I was. Around these times I also noticed I am playing on the US servers. I killed two birds with one stone and bought the full version of WoW and made an account on EU servers.

I kept playing night elf warrior, it just had a good feeling to it. I started getting into PvP very early, queing some AB/WSG between questing at lvl 20+. when I hit level 45 I already had 5000 honorable kills. At level 60 I decided I want to be like my childhood hero Maydie and play BGs with the cool Grand Marshal gear all day... that dream died very soon and I started going for max level (70, I started when TBC came out) and oh boy I was ready to get into PvP again after getting that max level.

I found out about "arena" which also seemed really exciting to me, so I searched for a partner from the trade chat of my RPPvP server and found a holy paladin named "Uncertainty" and I was ready to roll. Our first arena was on Lordaeron, against two hunters. Being a night elf I thought hiding in the starting room in shadowmeld was a great idea. It also helped me calm down a bit since I stood there shaking for atleast a minute or two before charging in... well my first arena was easier than expected, I guess all that practice in BGs paid off, we won with ease! From that moment on I knew this was my calling. World of Warcraft PvP started being more important than school or friends. I would stay up late. Play a bg in the morning before going to school. Think about wow in school. Come home and play wow. That was my life, and I was happy that way. Season two started and I started experimenting in 3s.

First I tried some RWD which was actually a real comp back then with a rogue from my guild and some resto druid, we faced two of our guild mates who were running HLP. We tunneled the lock down and beat them, felt good man. That is when I got to know the warlock I just destroyed and we became friends. We started playing 2v2 together not knowing that our comp is actually carbage. We still managed to hit 2087 rating as warrior/warlock in 2v2 with no voice communication (I was a squaker and playing in the living room talking to myself on the computer would seem weird). That is when we realised we were no ordinary RPPvP-server player.

We started gaining some reputation and people would admire our achievements. We were ready to take it to the next level, 3v3. We found a surprisingly good holy paladin from trade chat, Gadr (I miss you buddy, where are you man?) that guy was insanely good for a random dude we found. We played the rest of TBC with him, without voice communication as usual, reaching over 2300 in 2v2 and 3v3. In 2v2 we tanked a lot of rating with him one day and decided to call it quits and disband the team out of shame. Turns out the rating would have still been enough for gladiator. In 3v3 my warlock friend disappeared for a couple weeks so I thought hey why not play with a gladiator elemental shaman I saw in Ironforge, and so we did. I was so excited to hit people with my heroism and windfury totem... But we lost our gladiator rating in 3v3 that day aswell. I was so foolish. My warlock friend was not pleased. He still hasn't forgiven me about it and I hear about it very often. I'm sorry, I thought you quit the game. I didn't understand the fuss about titles back then anyway, but I would be happy to have a TBC drake now, oh well.

TLDR: play a lot, maybe record your games and write down your mistakes, repeat until you don't make any!

Started the game at 12
started arena at 70 playing triple Mage and fucking awful
got my first 2k by getting carried by friend playing tsg
Gladiator on my server name ehawk tought me how to cc, pillar hump, and dispel
Played a fuck ton of arena still being bad and spammed bgs and wintergrasp till I became extremely comfortable with my 80 key binds
Got carried to glad when ret was broken. (Literally carried I was bad)
Was stuck being a 2200 hero with friends
Game got a lot easier and glad range felt like 2200 range from back in the day

Could delve deeper but this is the short version of it.

Long story short, I don't feel like I got any better, just felt like everyone got worse. I'm still a 2200 shitter in my head.

VANILLA
Joined WoW August 2006
--
BURNING CRUSADE
Started doing arena in S2 as a Hunter, played with RL friends and people I met on server
Joined a progression raiding guild and did Hyjal/BT/Sunwell
Leveled an alt Resto Druid during S4, achieved a rating of 1900 in 2s
--
WOTLK
PvE'd during S5
Arena'd casually with my friends from HS in S6-7 transferring from Turalyon to Mal'Ganis to Perenolde
Transferred to a new realm (Burning Blade) in S8, achieved first 2200 as Shadowplay and Warrior/Prot Paladin
--
CATA
Did my first "real" Glad push in S9 as WLD with Fixty and Babypuke on Burning Blade. Fell short of Glad by 100 points.
Got 2650 Rated in S10 as RLD on Burning Blade
MMR reset happens
Transfer to Darkspear. Play Shatterplay with two different sets of Mages/Spriests. Eventually get to 2600 post MMR nerf with Aetarius and Thingtwo on Mage.
The three other people on our roster tank our team to 2400 while I was asleep. Aetarius gets banned. Get fucked out of Glad.
In S11, transfer to KT. Have the time of my life playing RLD and RPD with Snackumz/Phishy and others (mostly Carrymelol).
Still not Gladiator.

MoP
S12
Play casually at start of season with Tonystyle and a Warrior named Xance running Marks Hunter KFC (lol)
Randomly get asked by Snaregodx to queue with Beckinsale. The queue session goes horribly, suggest that we play with Snackumz instead.
Play with Snackumz and Snaregodx to 2500 and sit just a few days before season end.
Get first Glad as Fire/Destro MLD
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=W75yLs6gAiE
S13, gets asked to make a R1 Push in 5s on Ruin with Seestraightz, Adversa, Pwh, Fatamericanx, Pittles, and a few others.
Lots of DDOS happens
Drama ensues
Hold R1 for majority of season, then get passed during last few weeks

While this team was getting passed in 5s, I transfer my other Druid to bongwater BG. Get R1 easily.
S14
Play RMD with heaps of people
Get R1 with two Chinese players (Vurtre and Syrex) in 3v3
Nearly get R1 on my mage playing 3 DPS with Nahj and Maorimoron
Start playing RBGs seriously.
S15
Playing 3s super casually, focusing more on RBGs (with Datacus, Abn, Bailamos, etc)
Some of my OG server friends wanna make R1 push in 5s. I play with them. We achieve R1 with a near flawless W/L (Going 54-0 with Unseenz)

--
WoD
S16 Dominate ladder first week of Season with Hewty and Rositajones
Take a break from arena, come back and queue with Pookz/Thingone. We tank horribly.
Take an even longer break from arena, queue last week of season with Jax/Cower. Get Glad range as RMD.
S17 Barely play
Make last season glad push with two people I met a week before season end.
We get tired of queueing. We get Duelist
S18 Still playing casually. Queue occasionally with Venruki/Nikeswag/Snutz/Jax/Gazzle/CdewRogue + the two people I did S17 Duelist push with

Because the random name generator might pump out Lortfanden, which sounds like a pretty generic fantasy Warrior name in English, until you realize it means "Shit Fuck" in Danish.

Startet WoW at release. Played PvP since i can remember and only played 2 classes (Priest and Rogue). I played alot and improved my "skill". After the Arenas came out in BC i started playing it and got Gladiator in S1 and R1 in S2 as you can see on my character on the left side. Just played the 2 classes and managed to play them at a high skill level. Now in WoD it didnt changed that much. I still play Rogue and Priest, cus i just enjoy this two classes. Ofc i have other classes, but i dont play them that much.

Greetings.

Started the game season 3 and struggled the entire season as a belf mage w/ an undead rogue. Didnt help every 2s comp was sl/sl lock and a druid. but with tons of matches and persistence I barely squeezed gladiator by about 10 points if i remember. Season 4 went alot better running Shadow rmp with glad partners, basically countered the meta and crushed most druid teams. season 5 ran fire RMP blew most teams away, they did not know how to deal with fire. the same continued until season 9 lol.

i blew my acl and had to drop out of pro athlete dreams and go to uni. after acl surgery I was given oxycoedine and used my school computer to play wow because it was really nice on the drugs.

i would just hang out and duel nonstop, then people invited me to play arenas with them after duels and we won a lot and got gladiator. if you are able bodied don't commit time to learning this game and getting gladiator, it is a waste but it was fun.

Always played priest since beta, and decided to go at it with what I knew best in TBC. I was a NE back then and in S1, I rolled with another NE, subtlety rogue and a fire mage. Triple DPS with horrible racials meant perfect execution, and nothing says perfect like practice. Played way more than a thousand games in that first season.

Finding good partners that are chill and want to get better, and can put the time, is primordial.
