The dilemma of liking both arms and prot. And wanting to play both due to pvp and pve reasons.
I know they spoke of a catch up mechanic but one will most likely suffer to the likes of the other.

I really like arms coming legion, cataclysm was my favourite time to play arms, the return of overpower is cool aswell, I just really want the unrelenting strikes talent back with overpower + the old taste for blood overpower mechanic.

Plus it seems we are getting the 30 sec leap + sprint baseline and not so lame mobility anymore.

And the trees are definitely not correct, they are very unlikely to even resemble what we see here when we get beta. Something blizzard has stated several times.

i really fear that we are going to be focused as fuck on 3s, and wont be able to go battle stance in the whole arena, but i really like the idea of chosing between those talents, and i really hope this will be a very good expansion. peace.

- Battle Stance
- Defensive Stance
- Victory Rush
- Hamstring (Arms/Prot only? Not sure)
- Taunt (Prot only)
- Shield Barrier (Gone?)
- Spell Reflect (Prot only)
- Intervene (Prot only)
- Intimidating Shout
- Die by the Sword (Arms only talent)
- Battle Shout ('merged' into Recklessness)
- Commanding Shout ('merged' into Rallying Cry)
- Shattering Throw (unless it's now a PVP talent)
- Not to mention tons of other active abilities which no longer exist as talents, such as Vigilance, Bloodbath, Ravager, etc.

Pretty sure as fury I have like <15 binds

You can reason it to the next level: Enraged Regeneration is Fury only.
I guess we need some beta access to see exactly what base kits consist of. And Ravager remained as an Arms talent.

Anyway, in the latest alpha installment, Overpower skyrocketed from 160% weapon damage to 250%.
Mortal Strike is 225%.

Still though, by all means and ends, Overpower is a renamed Sudden Death.

sounds Great, we need stampede 1shot bk too and frost bomb mage back too while we are at it XDD

Don't kept held up on overpower. It's not spammable, and it procs (at least for fury, can't play arms on the alpha atm) once every 10 seconds or something. Kinda useless.

Should also be noted that while arms has defensive stance, you do 25% less damage while sitting it.

Oh also Intimidating Shout is gone. Warriors can now only spec into 1 stun and snare, I don't see anywhere that implies charge stun coming back.

Welcome to Legion, if you come off the healer for any reason other than to snare the DPS you're a fucking burden.

Great. Less damage in defensive stance. Now we can just get tunneled all day and not pump out any damage. Cataclysm all over again boys.

No spell reflect is going to be incredibly detrimental since heroic leap sprint is going to be a talent. And no spammable OP makes me pretty sad. Not Intimidating Shout is gonna be fucking piss.

Don't like this at all. If it's really that fucking bad, I'm going SPriest.

Ph stays as fury. It's in the spells on the calculator at lvl 26.

Rip to this leap artifact bonus thing fury was going to get too. It's removed.
Fury artifact has been stripped of any utility other then doing damage now.
Arms artifact still not there.

Arms only utility talent is intercept. The rest is damage damage damage.
Fury gets to remove slows with a talent. The rest is damage damage damage.


Just gotta accept that we are most likely going to do insane ammounts of damage. But our only cc will be shockwave or stormbolt and we are easly kited and cced. It sounds like the only skillcap will be your pve damage rotation.
Thunderclap gone for arms.
Reflect gone for arms and fury.
Intervene gone for fury. And only available for arms as a talent.
Fear gone.

If you want any utility other then damage and self healing you have to play prot.
Thunderclap still there. (Roots for 1 sec with talent.)
Reflect still there. (lasting for 5 seconds as artifact bonus.)
Intervene still there. (taking next 3 attacks as artifact bonus.)
10 sec cd Interrupt that resets on hit as a talent.
Talent that in theory turns demoshout into an aoe safeguard.
Vigilance as a talent.
2 sec Aoe stun on leap and charge as a talent.
Reducing leap cd by 8 sec as artifact bonus. Further reduced if you take the talent in sacrifice of safeguard. Aka giving you an additional mini shockwave every 22 seconds.

Still sticking in seeing my biggest interest in prot.

Intervene isn't a talent for arms, it's intercept, which replaces charge I might add.

E: And for what it's worth, fury has no mortal strike now.

Other than spell reflect those are some pretty good changes.

Looking at prot, it seems to me that it could be the better spec. The amount of utility it has and the damage it could potentially put out is ridiculous. Saw their artifact talents and I was fucking impressed. Spell Reflect returns all magic damage from all sources for 5 seconds? 8 seconds reduced on Heroic Leap on top of the heroic leap talent. That's a lot of leaps man, a lot. Getting rage and damage on demo shouted enemies.

Man, it looks like to me, Prot might be the fucking Gods of utility/mobility, and quite possibly damage.

I noticed prot doesn't have hamstring but if the heroic strike glyph still exist with the built in hamstring, Prot is going to be fucking golden.

Well looking at the past warriors didn't really have a lot of utility either
TBC had Charge + Intercept. Charge was only outside Combat
Then we had Initmidating shout.

Damage was massive though (I choose not to include macestun here)
WOTLK was pretty much the same, except for the added Intervene and unrelenting assault on overpower (Unless you played Prot)

Really looking forward to having Overpower back. I really felt useless when missing half my attacks against rogues.

Personally i didn't like the "utility" game of MOP where Warriors had 2 stuns and could fly around the map 24/7, but had Overpower critting for 10k vs 500k health pools. I preferred when Warriors could really do damage once you got on your target. For me that was a more fun playstyle..

Aslong as it's fun i guess most people will not care how it is.
