Nah you just necroed bruh. Don't over complicate a DK's lifestyle.

You could spam necrotic strike and maybe not force cooldowns at all because the CC chain ended and healer just outhealed the stacks, or you could use Scourge Strike when it mattered and force defensives at a much faster pace.

I agree, however the situations where you had a nice CC chains to do damage instead where super rare, as a DK, you didn't have comps which were revolved around CC chains rather then having short frame cc (stun/strang) which was followed by stacking necro and bursting after the cc (dumping). On end of the day you would still end up being a spam necro bot. This could only change if SS did some decent damage where it could compete with necro in certain situations like one you mentioned.

Actually in cata one of the most successful DK comps was uhdk/frost mage/x (usually rdruid) which revolved around high dk pressure, grip sheep/clone and basically ccing the crap out of people whilst stacking up necros.

NS was so strong more due to its cast time increasing debuff which (appears) not to exist on the re-introduced skill in legion. Also the artifact skills and pvp talents (at present) for uhdk as well as the festering wound explosion of SS makes it appear as though SS will deal more damage (effective as well as heal block) over NS. Of course we can only speculate at this stage.

In MoP PHDK made plenty of SS use iirc.

It'll be interesting to see how Crypt Fever scales in Legion. Dealing damage to a target when it's healed is an interesting MS, depending on how it works. If it is a set amount of damage, it could be really effective vs druids and less so vs hpala teams. Could be really op vs lock's with siphon life and resto druid (assuming it procs off of passive heals and has no internal CD).

Guess we'll have to wait and see
