Why is everyone complaining about pruning?
The reason WoW is not a ESPORT is because of the extreme imbalance between different classes and comps,
So what blizzard is doing IS MAKING IT EASIER FOR EVERYONE TO MULTICLASS.
SO YOU DONT GET COUNTERED EVERY FUCKING GAME.
If you feel like your class is dumb and easy, try another class THAT'S THE POINT OF PRUNING.................

The game also no longer feels like an RPG (unfortunately). After having levelled just to level 30 on Nostalrius, i realised him "big" and eventful WoW felt as a world back then.
As Lolflay said, it feels more like a collector game now, where you get lots of mounts / pets / achievements, etc.
The game does have some good aspects, and PVE seems quite interesting if you can pull out the time to raid with a guild.
Despite all the new added LFG / LFPlayer features, i never felt more isolated and alone in WoW, than i did in WoD (With most old friends having quit the game long ago)
I guess it really depends on what you are searching for in the game. You can use it as a "side game", and it doesn't have to be hugely time demanding, as long as you know and cordinate the playtimes with the people you play with.
CS:Go / DotA on both Matchmaking and FaceIT, seems far more interesting for Solo activities though.
