saw several videos of rets 1 shotting ppl in wotlk beta, and no one being able to beat dk's in duels and such. We all knew they were broken, blizz did what they want, always.

Don't mean offense, but the base of the thread isn't ungrounded that players themselves can potentially be the cause of bad development.

An example could be, taking a look at one of the player driven changes in WoD beta. Blizzard reduced all-healing by -20% at one point in beta. Result -> player outrage -> Blizzard accepts, reverts one of the biggest, mass scale tuning changes of WoD in a single day. (certainly not a result of testing)

Looking at the release environment of WoD, comparing it to the reverted all-healing change raises some concerns of how good of an idea it was, to put a stop to such change in the midst of beta testing, the best place for huge changes.
What also might be worth mentioning, is that there wasn't ~a single grounded mathematical explanation given by ~any of the complaining threads, as to why the reduction wasn't necessary, despite the change certainly being very well tied to math.(for example, why not '20' %? Why not -%? Why not for all-healing spells? Again, not to be big-headed or to offend)

Beta testing goes both ways. There could be the most amount of feedback in the world, but if the devs don't respond accordingly and take action, it won't mean anything. I don't think you're keeping that in mind.

Moreoever, truth be told, I actually liked WoD arena in the pre-season phase. In fact, a lot of people did. It seemed promising and surprisingly balanced. Of course, some things needed to be fine tuned and there wasn't gear yet and all, but still. It was reminiscent of BC. Maybe it was just being blinded by the new xpac or whatever, but the eb and flow of arena matches seemed fine. And then Blizzard buffed a million things for PvE, gear came into effect, the meta changed, and then eventually we got to where we are now.

No at one point minus the few flaws pointed out in this post the beta was fun but the game changed two or three times on beta, They had no idea what they were doing with this xpac, it feels like it was only to cauterize the wound that is WoW.
