Hi guys just a simple question, I usually open with SR/ar and then wait for red buff and use on use/spree. My question is would I be better off using my on use is the opener as im aware IB scales on attack power so I'm thinking a double kidney with my procs could be a lot more pressure off the bat?

I pop on-use with AR and reflection, no reason not to.

Your power plateaus off the bat are opener ( AR+on-use+MfD+shadow reflection kidney garrote kidney garrote combo ) and first red buff killing spree, later on you obviously decide whether you want to Revealing and only use Sinister to control Insight buffs, but if you don't genuinely care ( sometimes you don't ), then 3rd yellow/red buff together with lined up cooldowns - so there's really NO reason not to use on use with first AR and every other subsequent AR.

AR would affect SR in the sense that you're using more sinister strikes/eviscerates. Trinkets, insight levels, etc. that buff damage on you do not affect the reflection's damage at all.

Cheers Lloix,

I'll throw in another question because we're on a roll! In your standard SR/MFD/kidney/AR opener would you get slice and dice up ASAP after first revealing or build 5 combo points for a slice n dice; or not even worry at all about slice and dice and just use damage openers through the course of the SR?

I tend to go revealing one sinister then slice and dice, vanish, evis, garrote -> spam damage, but I don't know if getting slice and dice up there is worth it or if I would be better to get two evis' out?

Most openers it's usually a sap on one target, cheapshot onto another (I'll use SnD here with the 2/3 points), then you MfD>Kidney. Unless you open on someone and 0 defensives are used you usually don't need to use vanish. Exceptions that come to mind are opening on a rdruid or shaman and they use 0 defensives and you can get tricky with a garrote>Immediate cheap on their trinket, but that's not typically the norm.

I wouldn't use vanish if I didn't shadow reflection, the opener im talking about results in a 6 second kidney / 4 second silence (glyph) / 3 second kidney / 2 second silence. Seems like a pretty good way to start momentum right off the bat, or would I be better off saving those cooldowns?

Yea that's the right idea. You'd generally save vanish if you know you're going to force some major defensive without it and can use the garrote silence afterwards (thinking block, bop, deter, etc.) but you have the right idea.
