On a somewhat related note from someone trying to get better: why is a mage more likely to deep when he has 2 procs as opposed to 1? Is it just because he's losing damage by eating potential procs at that point?

So that he can use the other proc to remove mass reflect or to simply do damage with it.

Do you play as Arms against Mages? Or Fury?
Can't really access Twitch right now.

arms, i'd imagine fury would be a nightmare vs a paladin that can afford to denounce you 90% of the time

Do you use double time vs mages? Or charge stun as an extra interupt

As stated in another thread, Juggernaut vs. Hunters, Double Time against anything Mages, Warbringer against anything else.

biggest problem i have is that im prot, and i rarely play with anything but druid or pala,

so i cant remove any blocks or bops. so they can never die unless you force atleast 4 complete resets.

and im still blown away by their damage, i almost die first deep sheep 100-0 as prot with 515k hp.

just throw shieldwall preemptively, enables you to go offensive full on, and not trying to survive their burst 10 seconds and eventually using it then anyway cause your healer cant top you off.

Other than that, try gladstance, i just hit 80k shieldslams without even having full gear/the right stats on my gear. Go full Mastery/Versa and you should be off with a solid defense and a noticeably stronger offense.

This thread is top kek.

I agree that the comp is really annoying though, you just want to /afk as soon as that first deep/sheep + hoj lands. That's why you don't play healer/dps 2s and play double dps instead, perhaps that isn't very viable as a warrior though. Atleast you get quick games as double dps and don't have to ResidentSleeper to deep dampening. It's even annoying against 2.2k players and on higher rating you get to play against r1 mages that do double the damage.

its not hard to just HOJ>DEEP then you cant do anything.

like i have said 500 times now, you have to predict the hoj. an instant 20 yard spell "when the pala runs to you" its not like he even have to los or be scared of anything ? he can just stand like a mong in the open and spam denounce for 0 mana all day and hoj when he wants.

there is nothing to use a finger for reflect for when you pala hoj when you deeps. then 2 targets are stunned from range, instantly and that starts a chain of cc that makes you force cds that are 1-2 min long, and they can do this every 30 seconds. trading 30 sec cds for 1-2 min cds sounds like a decent deal to me.

i played 2400+ mmr in 2s last season, i cant feel any difference at 1800 mmr now.

feels like when you face a priest, ANY priest he can just saving grace till atleast 30+ damp.

if you face pala mage they can just block and bop and spam poly and denounce till 40% damp.

healer dps battles should just start at 50% damp in 2s.

nah not true at all ... 1800 teams just get crushed in 2min tops (rogue healer / monk healer Pov)

Edit: most Teams, there are a few outliers who happen to use their cds the right way and survive a bit longer
