Hi guys i was hoping for some wisdom from you awesome roguies.
Iv noticed a lot of the top rogues running shadow reflection. Why is that?

Whats the best way to use this? I the opener? What is the opener rotation with SR? (main question)

Thanks so much for your guidance in advance from a noob rogue. <3

its situational almost. but its not for damage its for cc. you can 12 second blind someone or blind two people for 8 seconds with a 8 sec gap between the two. You can 9 sec kidney 1 person or 6 second kidney two people. possibilities are endless. But its not for damage at all.

Shadow reflection with Sub or Sin actually does decent damage though.

I see, so how exactly do you go about 9 sec kidney someone? Doesnt it DR?

If you play RMX i (we) find it very useful against druid healers, opene him to get skin and maybe trinked if you feeling for a possible fast game, then next dr and somewhat cds (before skin is back obv) you can kidney into deep into shadow reflection kidney, since the 2s deep will fill the gap between the kidneys. At least thats how i know we use it :)

With 3v1 cc people won't be able to kill it. it's just an extra burst cd even if it doesn't copy damage modifiers it still adds up a lot with spree in a kidney.

SR kidney's also copy internal bleeding and saves you energy getting a free dr garrote.

Even if people do kill it your forcing them to do more in a game or use things to stop your 3v1 cc to kill it. Which is worth more than VR or how clunky DFA is.

You have to have Revealing Strike on target and 5 combo points ready to use and target not on a stun DR. use SR then 5 point kidney, that will stun the target for 6 seconds then after 8 seconds it will stun the target again for 3.5 or so seconds. There will be a 2 second gap between the two stuns UNLESS you Shadow reflection wait 2 seconds then 5 point kidney, that will be seamless 9 sec stun. But a little more thinking than just SR > 5 point kidney....which will leave a 2 second gap that they are free but its a small window.

Revealing strike will advance the second DR kidney by 35% but I think its just .5 or something.

I have been using it mid fight on single targets to get a nice CC chain. I think with the new 6.2 changes, we almost have to KS into a Killing Spree or it will get broken for sure. So I get my 5cp KS ready, pop SR and get the KS in, Kill Spree, Evis - SR follows with a DR'd KS, a Kill Spree, finishes with an Evis. It makes for some solid damage and, it generally finishes them. It's a gamble in BG's since someone might switch to your target and sometimes they get destroyed before your SR even finishes learning. The other things to consider would be blocking by mages and deterrence by hunters. If you can hold off on your SR and force them before you use it, better success rate.

We're not here for a long time, so make it a good time. Be kind to others, both in game and IRL.
