Interesting but also pretty logical.

Nerfing heals by 30% in dampening effects Priests a hell of a lot more than shamans, this is also due to if a shaman comp reaches dampening they are facing a comp which shamans are at least "Ok" against though.

Battle fatigue on my eyes goes up to 60% after 10 secs of trying to read it (and I really want to read it, too).

all the other healers should be buffed up to the point of having a way of not having to outplay 2 dps to survive

TL;DR he is saying you can't nerf/buff everyone at the same time because each class has their own "balance" of its abilities in order to stay balanced with other classes. So like you nerf everyones damage when class A is all about damage and no cc and class b is some damage and all cc that it nerfs the damage dealing class harder. So he is saying they need to look at nerfs to a point where if there damage is too high in most cases during the game they need to find an approach that doesnt nerf the classes more reliant on damage as used in his example about if a casting healer dies too quickly and an instant healer doesnt maybe its because of the amount of cc and interrupts being put on the caster so if the caster dies quickly and the instant healer doesnt the solution isnt, "Buff everyones healing" or "nerf everyones damage" because it throws the other classes off the balance you are trying to the broken ones on.

TL;DR of what i said. Blizz is lazy

Any form of "blanket" buff or debuff is very bad for the game other than the buffs in raid instances intended to nerf the content. To me the real problem is when things such as "The Crowd Chooses You!" and "Dampening" completely alter game play and comps is a core problem. Remember when teams would open on the healer then pillar for 20 minutes because of TCCY? In MoP they said they didn't want to have such a huge disparity between damage in PvE and PvP because of how resilience played out. Were already heading down that path unless 6.2 overhauls on a global scale which is very unlikely.

Personally, I never really understood what exactly was wrong with things like Lich King and Cataclysm itemization because seasons so far with PvP only gear haven't been better than ones with the PvE gear. The only instance would probably be early season 11 with DS trinkets and early daggers with season 8 to a lesser extent.

fun fact
an early form of battle fatigue was actually added in late wrath in the form of a flat -15/10(?)% healing in arena
from what I remember, it was pretty much universally endorsed by the playerbase

no idea if and when that ever got removed

Another thing people fail to mention is say you have one class with a 20% damage reduction CD and another class with a 20% self heal. Battle fatigue (Dampening) screws over the heal however the damage reduction the first class has is left untouched?

This clearly favours classes like druids (Iron bark and Barkskin) over classes like shaman who have to rely on pure hps rather then reduction.

Inb4: Im not sayings druids are so OP nerf and buff shamans. Im saying dampening in general is completely unbalanced and should be removed and the game balanced around 0 dampening.

just put resil back on gear and be fucking done with it already holy shit

that + pve ilvl scaling will fix the only issue we had to begin with

man shamans are op in dampening because their flash heal still crits for 100k+ in 50% dampening

If that is the case, then you should have made a comparison with for example priest and not Resto shamans. Because they are one of het stronger classes in dampening due to their mastery. Your point is legit tough.
