Arms damage is fine already, those changes just give more damage but doesnt change shit gameplay it has.
And unfortunately i dont think arms will be changed till end of this expack cause blizzard isnt really eager to admit mistakes

Not a 25% buff to MS. ~16% buff to ms/cs/exe. This is a controlled pve damage increase, not unlike the Combat rogue 7% ap buff.

Read your tooltips boys, baseline mastery from 28% to 44%. 16% increase on three abilities. Your bonus mastery from items is not affected by this.

There is no way an ~8% damage buff to warriors makes it live?

This does not increase damage on your auto attacks, rends, whirlwinds, bladestorms, stuns, or thunder clap (though thunderclap got a global buff so uhh, hooray 9k thunderclaps?)

Should we add Thunderclap to our rotation?
Also, i still sword/board if im in a bind against melee comps so, getting the 2* 1h for fury isn't completely wasted.
Unless you went TG, then gg

It'll likely be a better filler than whirlwind (when off CD) but don't forget that is effectively your shitty version of piercing howl too, so spamming it could hurt your ability to easily peel or slow that priest as he runs through the cleave like a retard to fear your healer.

I said "damage" not "single target damage". When paired with lock or enha shaman multitarget pressure is insane.

the changes buffed single target damage exclusively, if you're rending 3 targets and spamming whirlwind (the situation where arms does good damage) you're not going to even notice the difference

The difference will definitely be noticable, you're still using CS/MS/Exe on cooldown. Not to mention increased damage in Thunderclap is likely to be a tiny increase over whirlwind (haven't checked the numbers, but it'll potentially be a better filler, or better value filler due to the lower rage req, when its off CD.)

Bursting a single target 16% harder to push them to that magic 19% for execute (which is now ALSO 16% harder) to get that 1-shot in is AMAZING. Meanwhile the targets you aren't bursting are still rotting JUST as hard as before.

Remember that last time you got a druid to 60k in execute range and he bear formed to only get hit for 55k before his frenzied regen went off and you got chain cc'd so he could get away? Now that 55k execute is 63.8k

You still have that wait time though. They did nothing to help with a filler.

.

It was a reply to another poster who said arms damage was already fine. In the scenario where arms damage is fine (AOE) these changes go almost unnoticeable.

Of course in PvP these changes are going to be very important, just like aoe damage is usually irrelevant.

Tbh i feel a bit sick when i see obliterate doing more damage then mortal strike. Sure it is technically on a longer cooldown it makes it even worse when you think they do not ignore 50% armor. This change will help it a bit. And as i said before its a slight buff to your cleave aswell.
Now if they would buff slam and make it on par with sudden death dps all the arms warriors that prefere a single target filler instead of an aoe one would be happy. I mean what is holding blizzard back on buffing it if it is the same dps output as sudden death?
