lsd2 is indeed quite good, haven't really played it myself but from what I've noticed the best way to play it is to just go hardcore pve mode all the time. The warlock should pretty much take fear off of his bars and put out as much dps as possible and just be smart with his shadowfurys. Decent rmds, jungles, etc will still be a huge struggle though.

I would add moonkin/warr/rsham to the list of viable comps, played it with some friends for fun once and was around 2.5 mmr, could definitely get higher with it. One of the eu moonkins was doing quite well with it earlier in the season iirc.

Hello Siuo, grate guide! I have only started playing boomy this season, and the only thing that I dont understand about boomy is why everyone is playing with Force of Nature.

I mean, I can see why someone would pick Soul of the Forest, it has grate synergy with our 4 set bonus and Euphoria for consistent dmg. I can see why someone would take Incartation for the burst. But I dont understand why would I want to take Force of Nature? The treants doesn't seem to hit that much, and they break their roots after 1 cast, I would rather cast a full root on someone I want to peel.

What I'm I missing here? Do they hit harder than I think? Why FoN over SoTF?

Thanks in advance! :)

People take treants for basically 2 reasons:
  • The insta-roots are huge in helping you survive against melee if you're being trained.
  • You can insta root+beam
SoTF and Incarn are both much better damage cds but FoN simply makes your life much easier in most situations.

My advice: if you face a comp where you feel insta-roots won't mean much, go SoTF/Incarn. Against things like rmd that train you, treants are pretty much essential at "high" ratings.

you will also get CCed a lot or people simply run away when you use incarnation.

but you might specc it against some comps, but I don't have partners to play so I can't give much advice against what comps other cooldowns might be better.

it feels like treantroot/beam doesn't work in 90% of the cases anyway and randomly breaks out of nowhere :D
