@Geforce

What 3s comp are you playing? I needed to try something new and decided to try out some ATC with BM hunter and Hpal. Was quite satisfying tbh.

I honestly have been playing vanilla wow these last couple of days, as live makes me seriously depressed this expansion. Like 70% of my games consist of sitting in 20-40 second CC chains while they train my healer start to finish. Shit sucks

I hear ya. I can't decide if that's worse than losing to Jungle with a backpeddling BM Hunter. /slitwrists

¡Great guide!

Just one question: I do mostly Random BGs. I am not into any kind of ranked games.

As a prot warrior (not gladiator) should i go with the set pieces (lowest stats on guide) or with the other pieces with no set bonus but with the best stats?

I am aware later into the season i will have both sets, but wich i have to get first as it is better?

mainset first, but if you're just doing rbgs always use mainset

tell your healers to use double dispel glyphs

its really not as bad as you are dramatizing it out to be

So picked up my conq 1h and shield today. Playing gladstance just to see the damage potential. Which does feel very stable.

Still wondering what enchant i should take on my 1h. Crit sounds like a good choice. Since bonus armor doesn't proc when your at full health.
But mastery does not sound bad either.

This, and playing prot with a warlock / hunter you really are almost forcing the enemy team to go on your healer...nothing else is a viable target.

I dont know if anyone has brought this up yet, but gstance is gonna give +30% mastery in 6.2 according to latest patch notes.
Will this make everyone go glad again seeing it's a raw +30% ap?

Doubt it. I have 45% mastery in my pve gear and it gives me 30% ap. Increasing that by 30% would give 9% more ap.
However this change will make mastery a better stat for dealing damage.

Glad stance already deals more damage then defensive stance

I do not know if it's worth losing dispell until we actually see it in action

Thank you for this wonderful guide.

I am busy playing prot warrior in gladiator stance but after reading this I am considering changing to normal prot.

I started in arena with my warrior (its an alt). We played 20 games last night, won about 17. In about 18 of them I was top DPS even with lower gear than some of my opponents.

I played 2`s with a rdruid. Its awesome cause you get their team to bust their cd`s on you and then your rdruid comes in to save the day when you already nearly have one person down.

Im really liking it. You slam people in the face and I find the mobility way better than my dk.

I have a question...

1) Which stat is more important? Strength or versatility? Right now I have versatility trinkets but perhaps I should get the strength ones

Right now I am comparing the difference between glad and def stance.

Glad Pros:

More damage output

Prot pros:
Glyph with shield dispel
Many awesome spells will have cd reduced

Im so worried losing my glad buff will hurt my dps, but I will give it a try tonight. Thanks again for a wonderful guide.

You can mash more shit as prot that with thunderclap spread you will barely notice the difference at the end of the match but you'll notice the weaker but more often burst

Use on use and vers proc trinket or double str trinkets; whatever you like more

Quit playing before 3 months due problems with health, so not familiar with current state of pvp from warrior aspect of view.
However, if a man gladly goes back to play version of a game that was live before 10y, instead of present day one, then that sounds pretty fucking depressive.

I had originally gone with the bleed enchant because it is so cheap, but now that I am settling in for some fun prot arena, I plan to pick up the mastery enchant. :)

Decided to head onto the PTR to try out the new 705 gear to see where that puts us on the choping block. Of course there's no vendor, so I really didn't get to test anything as I don't want to grind honor for the gear.

What I did test, however, is that gladiator stance now gives me a whoping 3% more attack power due to the mastery buff.

....

So no, we will not be going gladiator stance anytime soon

So are the majority of you guys running no glad stance then? When i'm not glad stance my damage is high, but the numbers are pretty lack luster. Is this a gear issue? Will it get better when i'm fully geared?
