Played a bit of arms last night.

The difference in execute numbers is freaking crazy.

On that, during execute phase on a boss, is it best to 100->0 your rage then do small executes after that, or save up for big ones again?

Just guessing with no math, but after the nerfs to execute base damage I think full rage is better.

Guys, which rings do you use as arms? I checked Trillebartom's armory and saw him using haste/multistrike +crit/mastery ones, why is that?

Well Crit/Mas goes without saying.

Off the top of my head I don't remember what the other options are besides haste/multi.

Crit+Mas is a must.
Haste+Multi is a higher dps increase than crit+multi if you have high enough uptime, but crit+multi is really good for fury.
At the end of the day it just won't matter that much.

Optimal way to use rend guys? Let it fall off then reapply after the burst?

Cool transmog, isnt the legendary ring better as a 2nd ring to go with the crit/mastery pvp one?

By a tiny little bit yes, also the mastery trinket can be better / worse depending on uptime etc but yeah the pve ring is slightly better, though it might not be better than dual cruelty ring

Noticed revo takes priority tclap over ww. Nice idea, wondering if it's worth it to spam always off cd or just spam it outside of your burst meaning that when you burst with a lot of rage you take ww as priority?

TC does more damage if you consider it costs half the rage of ww. In pve arms warriors use the glyph of resonating power. In that case it does more then ww for half the cost.
So it is more then viable to use tc instead of ww outside of burst to A: save up rage for burst. B: Less need to hamstring since tc slows already.

Does anyone know if Intrepid streams? I could have swore I saw his stream, but can't find the channel anymore.

Channel your hate, channel your love, focus your frustration and disappointment. Turn your emotions into a white hot rage and let them flow. Let the beast see the light of day just long enough to turn you into a freak.

Nothing against Intrepid as I know him personally as one of the better warriors for long ass time but I hardly doubt he streams lately as he has been sitting rating most of this season.

So they buffed our mastery again. But nerfed Mortal strike damage slightly. Not sure if the mastery buff will outscale the damage nerf. But atleast it will be a buff to cs and sudden death.

No one answered on the other topic so i put it here. What you guys think of enchanting versa instead of mastery on rings, neck, cape.

It will lower ms dmg but boost stuff like rend, whirlwind, bladestorm (for short, anything else) And survival through less damage taken and higher shield barriers. Execute will kill no matter what mastery or versa.

275 mastery vs 275 versa.
I know in mastery it is around 12 to 13%
According to the only sources i can find you need 130 versa rating to get 1% this means enchanting gives 2% versa.

With looking over this mastery scaling is just too good for arms. But versa does still make it as the second best stat.

So, I'm getting farmed at the Twin Peaks gy, thought I'd drop my two cents.

With s1 gear, my damage is humongous.
I mean, I can solo Hunters. Really.

Just by this, provided I didn't try any arena and probably won't since my teammates won't return, I think Vers might just not be worth it.
If the damage is this high for me, I can only dread what's like for other classes or teams.

I scrolled through the patch and threads, and a Warlock just about hit me for an easy 200k Chaos Bolt through the mouth. So I hardly think the solution to this obscene cleaving is a 3% damage reduction + healing increase.

If however my damage was strong enough that the Wizard reaches its 20% bye threshold, then I should fear no evil.
As retarded as it sounds, I think this is the landscape this patch presents. No real setup or second thought, just powerstack mastery and be happy with it.

Now if you just would excuse me, my Shaman overlord is here to tell me why Lava Burst is love, why Lava Burst is life.

EDIT:
Almost a month in, I'm way convinced Mastery is too good to be dropped.
Versatility however is our second best stat, just by the fact that it does so much for us in a lot of scenarios, and item levels allow for it to be strong enough to be meaningful in more cases and be the optimal choice.

My Mastery + Vers on-use now is a good "oh sh!t" button for me to press when things get hairy: as minuscule as it may seem, that healing increase+damage reduction is able to make some difference.
