Hello Death Knights,

Some pretty sizeable frost nerfs on PBE today, thoughts?

Could this bring Unholy back a little bit? (PLEASE)

How hard does this hit the class as a whole and how far does it put them behind other melee?

Frost damage has been really over the top, in fact I'm not sure the nerfs will even be enough. Unholy wasn't changed at all afaik, and they weren't too far behind frost to begin with.

DKs seem to be in a decent spot on beta overall, stronger relatively than they are on live I would say. Ofc that's subject to change.

This.

Although its been complained about forever, even though Asphyxiate is fantastic, it doesn't feel like enough, ever. HUNGERING COLD PLZ

Yeah so they're nerfing PoF and they're reducing the flat melee speed you get from Icy Talons, but they give 5% haste in return and buff all melee damage.

Not really a nerf now is it?

I'd say it was more toning down than flat out nerfing, but they will definately be weaker from reading, PoF nerf, combined with 5% haste nerf with a razorice nerf in return for a 5% damage buff doesn't seem in our favour?

If we are compared to other classes still in the good spot meaning tier 1 then this toning is well justified.
Would really like to see tho current dk streams from wod from a dk that knows what he's doing.

Blood Presence (Frost, Unholy) You assume the presence of Blood, increasing Stamina by 20%, and base armor by 55%, and reducing damage taken by 10%..

Looks good to me bros!!!!!

"Reduce Damage taken by 10" that + standing in Defile, should be pretty baller defensive -20% dmg taken.

U wot m8
Ya know, i was born in west philadelphia. I spent most of my days on the play ground. Usually i just be chillin, relaxin, trying to act cool by shooting some b-ball at school. But on this one, terrible, dreary, horrid day, a couple of guys that were certainly up to no good starting making trouble.. I was the first one of course to step up and fight them back. Because of this, my mom got scared and made me move in with my aunt and uncle in bel-air.

10% reduc + 10% reduc isn't 20% reduc in WoW.

It's 19% (which is basically the same thing but w/e).

100 * 0.9 * 0.9 = 81

This is so stacking defensive cooldowns doesn't become stupidly powerful (such as Shield Wall + PS); which is mainly a thing in PvE I guess.

100 * 0.6 * 0.6 = 36, not 20

Playing yesterday on beta doing skirmishes and duels, few things i noticed. I am still forced to play without healer in blood presence if focused which is ok for unholy but not so much for frost, low cost of frost strikes is really needed to burst someone down.
If i am in the healing mode full runic, death strike and conversion i do very minimal damage.Yes i can live if i am on the target for long time using heals but it doesn't get you anywhere.
I tried playing human maybe other races like dwarf/night elf/drenai will be better for dks since i can equip double dps trinket and use desc ground i really want to stay in frost presence. What i noticed that vs plate wearers i think dw frost is much better since oblit doesn't hit them strong at all but will test it further.
Will test UH today.
On the side note: Ret burst and Feral off healing need to get nerfed. Hunter kiting is just aids, u will never catch a good hunter being frost.
Warriors and rogues seemed to be as DK's decently balanced. Enh are dog shit.
So atm i think Ferals(Only because of absurd healing, their damage is actually decent one)>Ret(Due to doing damage while wings)>DK/War/Rogue       >Enh     >Random caster.

Played again being DW/UH dwarf DK with double dps trinket and def was way to go. Dwarf racial is just awesome pop pre damage or pop while rooted to dispel roots. DW seems way to go due to so many melee around HB HB HB HB frost strike etc... I used defile and death pact playing double dps and it worked lot better than for example conversion, breath of sin and plague.
UH seems to be quite decent as well, i did almost similar damage in a span of 1 min as DW frost. I would imagine that at end DW frost will come up on top with damage if match last more than 1 min due to pillar/dps trinket 1 min usage.
I also used plague leech and liked it a lot being frost
So far i like WOD lot lot more than MOP

Which healer do you see being the better option for Death Knights in 3s right now?

Honestly its hard to say atm, playing in random 2s meeting people that never actually played healers but even so i fought vs few decent healers in 2s, so depends on comp i might think that priest/druid is the best choice.
So far i would say priest because he/she fears/aoe dispel or even silence being disc and druid because of how powerful becomes one landed long CC, mobility for anti cc and their healing output.
I didn't meet yet any good h pallys so i cannot comment on that.
But i think with less cc any healer with half brain will do ok.

I will play some 3s today.
