He's not talking about sac dispelling someone else. He's talking about the paladin being immune to cc which breaks on damage while sac is up.

First of all it's not undispellable, it's just off the global cd. Secondly it doesn't make you immune to CC, you can still fear, stun, cs etc. the Paladin. This is asuming it's a holy paladin since you mentioned it's not about dispeling someone else (which is what Rets offer)

i meant if holy had undispellable sac. with the new dr changes you'd just be immune to cc for ages especially since sac has 2 charges.

What? Really? You mean you would be immune to Polymorph for a whole 20 seconds each 2 minutes and be forced to put into some other cc such as deep, ring, cs, stun?

People just like to whine :D Paladins are by far the weakest healer currently, so what's your problem lmao. They need this, needed it since fucking forever, and its just off gcd not even undispellable, which it should be. Atleast when you only had 1 charge.

would help if you read the whole topic and knew what we were replying to
apparently damage thresholds for cc breaking (fears, rof etc) is going to be reduced so yeah it'll easily break
also paladins are apparently the strongest healer in wod so far
if its off gcd and 1 charge thats fine w.e but some guy said he wanted it to be undispellable, off gcd and have 2 charges which is completely fucking retarded

I don`t have the quote here to show, but Holinka tweets says they`ll look into the damage thresholds but they thinking about not changing it. To me, this is absurd, because it takes about 15% health to break from a fear and therefore your teamates would have to take 45% health pool damage to break your fear. It`s just not going to happen in 6s in WoD on top of the burst being reduced. So Sac will not break fear anymore than today.

I agree it should not be undispelable. But I think the spell is near stupid for Ret and the fact of CCs not breaking as they should (just because Blizz thinks fear should last full time with someone with full dots).

Sac for Ret is used 90% of the time to dispel healer because that`s the most defensive utility it brings. You can use to transfer damage to save someone, but it`s hardly going to happen if you have a healer. And the last situation is to pre-emptive break CCs because we`re as Rets are the last priority to get dispels anyway.

And they make it all in one single spell. Dispel, Damage Mitigation, CC Break. The budget goes high, they use as an excuse to say Ret have a lot of utility but it`s just a Dispel 90+% of the time.

To me, the Dispel should go on SALVATION and Sac would be intact and THEN we would have the utility they act as we have.

But they balance Holy and every buff to Ret have a nerf baked in. Sac works great for HOLY because they`re the healer and Sac is never wasted because they`ll be able to heal because of damage threshold of CCs they get into OR the damage will be mitigated anyway, so unless it`s dispeled = win.

Like I always say: Blizz makes no effort to make Ret a coerent spec, they balance Holy, then Prot, then Holy PVP then Ret PVE damage and if it's BROKEN for PVP they bake some band-aid buff like Absolve so people think it's OK.

-> In short: "Balance is make 6-7 specs balanced to compete and let the rest nerfed but make it playable so maybe some exeptional professional players can compete with a nerfed spec." = Blizz supports FOTM.

Yeah, I mentioned and we're discussing it on the Ret on Beta tread =P Good to have the patch note at hand anyway =P

Haste will make the swap more mandatory and the skillcap for PVP will go of the roof...
