The problem still exists on EU. Don't be so naive. Most of the EU RBG teams gained their rating before the MMR change, and even before then, a glass ceiling around 2100 or so still existed. It's broken and needs fixing.
I understand it needs fixing, but the contrast to how it works on EU just seems odd. Especially since people keep mentioning this 2.1 MMR cap, when there are players with anything between 30 - 50 games, who are 2.3 - 2.4
They would have to be getting an average of 80 points a game, and something in the range of 30-40 Around 2,1, I don't see how thats possible, with this mmr cap?
Just seems like there is no easy fix aslong as people continue not to care about RBG's, when such a small pool of players q, and at that it's generally just groups of high rated Arena players getting a high cap in the first week, then qing once a week, at the top, it's very hard to get an mmr system that works of constant qing. There is so much soaked mmr at the top of the ladder.
Even with all of this too, the top teams continue to exploit the buggy old Battlegrounds, with new tactics and ideas. Speed capping
, escaping from the starting arena, bugging Ress' etc all lead to apathy from people who might q, and means these few high mmr teams crush anything that even touches the 'mmr cap'
