Healing Spheres removed in WoD

Hello!

It would appear that in WoD, they are planning to remove Healing Spheres. While I love the spell and the way it works, I can't help by agreeing that being able to outheal most burst damage using nothing but instant cast spells is kind of retarded and unintended.

They have said that they will compensate for this, so my question is this: What kind of changes would YOU want to see as a compensation?
Personally, the most obvious change would be to decrease the mana cost of Surging Mist so that it can actually be used outside of Thunder Focus Tea. I think that this was the way we were intended to play, but it is just too inefficient right now.
I know that it is a bit early to speculate about how WoD will be, but ideas can never hurt :)

That would be so stupid.... Healing spheres is an awesome mechanic. Playing Pac man through cc. Seeing as mw's have little to no cc.....rather no effective cc, they need to be power healers

idk about mw but I think for ww if we had any passive damage reduction at all we wouldnt have to have crazy self heals.

Great change. It wasn't a good mechanic at all. I hope they remove more instant bullshit from the game.

Fixed an issue during the Murozond encounter that could affect Death Knights and cause their Anti-Magic Shell ability to go on a slightly longer than intended 12-day cooldown.

I'm glad they are removing Healing Spheres, such a dumb and boring playstyle spamming that shit all over, hopefully the compensation they will make for it won't be completely useless.

Most stupid change. Just because some people are too bad to aim orbs without botting they're taking away the uniqueness of monk healing. Without orbs we're just dogshit RDroods.

I think it's funny that the game is at a point where no one would think twice about this sentence. "Monk can actually heal through damage OP!" ;)

That said I think orbs are retarded but I wish they would change how they work instead of removing them, they're pretty fun. They should just let me squish them if I get there first.

I understand why they're taking them out (they weren't intended to be a direct heal), but how on earth are they going to make up for removing them? Hopefully they think about pvp a little, because without them MW will probably become one of the easiest healers to tunnel.

Also thinking about that new 90 ability that'll drop 8 healing spheres, are they going to remove healing spheres completely or are they just going to change the way that theyre used

It isnt like they won't compensate. X ability is gone doesn't mean your class is gone - look what happened to sp, completely different playstyle (mostly) vs cata and now. Expansions change things.

I know that they'll compensate, I just hope that they remember to compensate for PvP.

Well it's more "Monks can heal through almost everything without using a single casted spell" - which in all fairness, is pretty damn retarded :P

They should just add a 6 second cooldown to it IMO. Preplacing the orbs to offset predicited burst is something that required at least a bit of skill/thought.

But yeah I'm all in for removing instants like this.
