Is it the still "ride the target until you crit string him to death" play style i remember from seasons past? Just pop pillar and blow something up in a stun ? (assume im talking about tsg here) seems like even at 2100 with our TSG all we did was train the non-monk healer into the dirt all game every game.

You just wait for the first KM proc and then you go ham on your target with asphyx / pillar / trinket / ERW

Don't forget Necrotic Strikes. They're still strong as Frost especially during your CDs. Sometimes I pop PoF just to get stronger Necrotics out.

Try to sit FP as much as you can.

I run undispellable diseases glyph, because having them dispelled is just the worst, especially when you're in Blood.

Almost never use HB, just IT instead for the purge.

Blood Tap is your only option as Frost. You need burst, and Blood Tap gives you that burst. RC and RE only increase your sustained damage, in an RNG way on top of that. I played Crit>Mastery in my games and my damage felt just fine. You can play full haste if you want though.

Couple things

1) I'd like to hear the reasoning behind your t1 frost talent choices.  Also I find PL great for much unholy Necro stacking as in single target comps like phd

2) comps - dk could be played to glad in s14 with the following: lock mage warr ele enh hunter.  Boomkin (eu). Possibly rogue in s15. Other comps that worked in the past is with feral (ebola) spriest (unholyplay - I wargamed this with glads this week on live and it felt competitive) and ret (vanguards) and double healer (boring cleave) abd even saw double dk at almost 2300 this season

I think I just listed every spec in the game

Plague leech because of :

1)
Because of stolen cc such as polymorph , repentance etc

2) Usually you will have frost fever on multiple targets but both diseases only on target you are hitting.
When you decide that you want to swap target , before swap you can take both dots off current target and get 2 free death runes when you swap.

Unholy blight + chillblains because it re-apply slow every second to all targets

So do we think that frost tsg will be a viable thing this season? viable as in 2200 capable to the masses. I'd love to play frost knowing I can take it somewhere but im not the guy to bash my head into a brick wall just becasue it's fun.

enduring infection glyph manditory? spam icy touch for purge and only howling during proc fog proc? the rest is self explanitory, if KM procs, hit something really fucking hard, if not fill your time with frost strikes, diseases, and (ready for this?) dk utility.

also, DesG vs remorseless? Is conversion even viable?

ty in advance

Anything can get 2.2. I think Frost can go higher than that if you're really good at it.

I personally think EI glyph is mandatory as Frost, but it might very well be a preference to others. Try to not use Icy Touch when you don't have a Rime proc. Easiest thing to do is to hold your Rime proc until you need it, rather than using it right away. Try to spend Rime procs before Obliterating so you don't potentially overlap.

In terms of priority, this is what I tend to go with when not bursting:

>Diseases
>KM Obliterate (if you can make the damage worth it, IE you have CC ready for the healer, or your teammate has small burst ready as well)
>Rime Procs
>Frost Strike

During burst, you just Obliterate and NS and forsake everything else.

RW is only worth it vs teams that don't have a lot of CC (IE kittycleave)

You can't use conversion as Frost. You are too dependant on your RP to have any use for it defensively.

Serious question! Is Double Blood DK viable in 2s? Those 2 blood DKs on the ladder didn't actually run the comp right? Also if it was "Viable", then do you think the new 10 minute Dampening in 2s will greatly affect the viability of this comp? Cheers!

They ran that to 2.5 when Crowd Choose You was still active. After CCY was removed, double Blood stopped being viable and they didn't queue a single game.

Quote

Red -  80str / 160 haste
Yellow -  320 haste
Blue - 160 haste/80 pvp power

Does this still remain true? or should I focus on another path when gearing my Frost DK?

I notice you go pure Haste in all sockets, ignoring all gem bonus, do you believe thats a better route or gem haste + whatever to achive gem bonus?

I don't actually run that set, it was more of a test. You'll notice the reforgings are extremely weird.

I'd go for the str/haste in reds and haste/pvpp in blue, yes. The socket bonuses are worth it, except for legs. Ignore the +120 pvpp bonus and just get +320 haste both sockets. You still want the +120 pvpp in chest because you only give up 160 haste, rather than 320.

Best tip any Frost DK can recieve is dont just spam your obliterates all willy nilly like. Time it for when damage is gonig to actually stick. i.e. CC on peelers/healers and dont waste o-crit-erates (lawls) on the hunter with Sac up, or the war with wall, ect ect. Control your abilities, play slow, hit hard when you can hit hard.

Nice DK guide. Congratulations. Sometimes when there are more melee dps than rdps i play with remorseless winter talent. Otherwise i play with Desecrated talent. I don't know about the Gorefiend's grasp talent. Which scenario is it better to play with that talent?

Let me put it another way.

Is there a scenario where having Blood Tap on a seperate keybind a bad thing?

Answer: No. You can press it in between globals and you'll always be able to use it when you want to.

Is there a scenario where having Blood Tap macro'd into another ability is a bad thing?

Answer: Yes. There are times when you don't want extra runes, but you've macro'd it so you don't have a choice.

Therefor, I think it's always better to have a seperate keybind.

Thanks for your tip. I didn't know about this. I will try play with BT in seprate keybind. But I'll need to train this a lot.

Nice guide. I didn't know you need a manual for two buttons.
Nah, I'm just teasing. Every class has its complexity. Although I do find DKs fairly easy to play.
