Dumb enhance question (Feral Spirit)

Do most of you guys use wolves during kill cds or defensively? I notice on the dummy it only crits for 20k so I could see it going either way as being for the heal or a little extra damage. Thanks for any input.

i usually use it to fake going ham, if it works (mage blocks etc), i then proceed to one shot with ascendance

I generally use them defensively as the damage from them is an utter joke (but so is the healing)

put them down at the same time as fire ele totem and hunter stampede so your enemy can't see their screen

can only use it as a very very small defensive cd. i usually pop it with the heal on dmg talent (forgot the name lol)
