  • Necrotic Plague
    • Passive
    • A powerful disease that deals 100 damage per stack every 3 sec for 30 sec. Each time it deals damage, it gains 1 stack, and jumps to another nearby enemy if possible. Cannot be spread by Pestilence.
    • Replaces Blood Plague.
  • Defile
    • 1 Unholy, 30 yd range
    • Instant, 30 sec cooldown
    • Defiles the ground targeted by the Death Knight, causing 100 Shadow damage every 1 sec for 10 sec. Each time Defile deals damage, it increases in area and damage by 5%. This growth can occur a maximum of 3 times per second.
    • Replaces Death and Decay.
  • Breath of Sindragosa
    • 15 Runic Power, plus 15 per sec
    • Instant, 1 min cooldown
    • Continuously deals 2000 Shadowfrost damage every 1 sec to enemies in a cone in front of you. This effect lasts until canceled or Runic Power is exhausted.



Is it bad that I might actually start playing if Necrotic Plague goes live and isn't a piece of shit? Also other talents are on the mmo-c front page. http://www.mmo-champion.com/content/

Defile + Chains root + Remorseless winter could be fun as well depending on how heavy the tick damage from Defile ends up being. Necrotic plague seems very similar to old wandering plague.

Defile on a Mastery Build for Unholy maybe.

DND can already do some pretty damn potent numbers on multiple targets as it is

This is only your last talents? you will still get 2 other abilities as you level up so you dont know what that will be.

considering it replaces DND, it probably is pretty underwhelming. The talents look cool but seem sorta useless (ofc if the defile actually does nasty damage to the point where we can use it as a repositional thing sort of like ring of frost except lots of damage version)

I'm not particularly interested in Necrotic Plague until I see the stack limit. What I am interested in though, is Defile as I've seen what it coiuld do from the Lich King first hand and will seemlingly bring Death Knights to their prime in 5v5 versus melee cleaves.

Need defense and mobility maybe some better peel utilities. Last thing any dk is worry is damage.

Eh... I am not sure you could get it to work like that. It needs to grow for it to be a decent repositional thing, which means you'd have to drop it on targets in the first place.

EDIT: Depending how strong Defile is, I could see it being used largely as an anti-turtling Mechanism, or a compete "Don't let the other team reset" thing
People wanna retreat into the starting cave of Lordaeron?
People wanna stack up and turtle a flag during a BG?

Make them pay dearly by throwing a defile on it

Do you know the base radius of Defile? (I'm assuming the 30 yards stated in the tooltip is the range)
If it hits three targets every second, it can gain an increase in size and damage by 15% every second for 10 seconds. This also makes it far more difficult to avoid and get out of every second.

It would be so good if it did enough damage to force bad positioning (which is what I believe DKs should be all about in PvP).

Clearly all these "trinkets" are making us viable, just look at the ladders. Oh wait. And look at how the mage solo bursted Swapxy in a deep/silence. Sure he had dots on him but the mage did the majority of the damage.

We have the defensives equal to a warriors DBTS and a shitty AMS that's affected by battle fatigue and absorbs 1 big ice lance. What else.. 3 second AMZ if we so choose? Oh god how awesome.

In a tournament revolving around people doing nothing but waiting until Dampening finally made the damage unhealable... the DK got merked in 20 seconds.

Mage....class that requires nothing to play since the beginning of WOW. Insane cc, insane defensive abilities, insane burst, insane mobility, good self heals. Of-course you don't want them to buff dks, so you can get free wins with a dk in the enemy team.

ice lancing requires skill :(...

Since MOP launch, Dks have been shit, we don't have tier 1, tier 2 or even a tier 3 comp. We will be lucky if any one wants to team up with us in this patch.

IMO, they need to buff AMS so it absorbs ALL inc damage for the duration and not have a cap on it(it would be nice to revert how AMZ was in WOTLK). Also, I am hoping they buff our mobility...we are the easiest melee to get peeled and additional Dmg buffs would be appreciated.
