As the title says, what do you think about the new Burst of Speed?
Seems decent (especially for Mutilate), although I'm not sure if it's better than buffed Shadowstep.

Offtopic: Try using it in conjunction with Nightstalker to move around Timeless Isle at 204% speed while stealthed.

Personally it's op as fuck. You're basically unsnareable while moving at 70% movement speed, it might be decent for some comps not most though.

I have been playing with BoS since the change went live on the ptr and now that it is on live in its current state there is almost no reason to take step over BoS

Only reason why shadowstep might be better in some scenarios is because it is an instant gap closer, hence the question.
But yeah, you have confirmed my suspicions that BoS is better :)

Yeah step obviously still has its uses but 90% of the time BoS would do the job just as well and it honestly helps u stick to ur targets much better :)

Yeah, BoS I think is very situational, and seems great for puttering around BGs.

In terms of utility, shadow step is the better option in most 3v3 scenarios, but BoS should not be overlooked in some circumstances. Shadowstep, as other have mentioned, is probably better for Sub than the other two specs. BoS is not that bad when playing mutilate, where your control is not as important. Pillar humping/FoK spam with BoS is pretty ridiculous as well.

Shadow step is still better in 3s for it's utility, defensive escape, hard swap w/ redirect kidney, and of course eating traps for your healer.

It seems to me u guys are forgetting about the amount of slows in this game and that step still has a 20 second cd with BoS u can actually stick to hunters and mages without any problems at all yeah step is better for hard swaps but BoS isnt bad for them at all. To each its own i guess i know i will be playing with BoS for sure it is however nice to see that tier finally have some competition as to what talent to choose

Just make step or bos baseline, then we might use cloak and dagger for that gap closer in the openers/vanishes/restealthes. Although it is nerfed i still like this talent

That would be so overpowered that we would be nerfed to the point were we would only have auto attack as an ability afterwards

BoS is probably better offensively but I wouldn't see myself living even nearly as long without shadowstep.
The amount of times i've just been able to LoS a full cc chain on my healer with only needing to use shadowstep makes it worth it.
Unlike with burst of speed when i'd probably need cloak, CR, evasion or whatever

They should the following.

1. Give rogues a 1 minute (all rogues) base ShadowStep.

So, you take step as your mobility, GREAT -- you get a 20sec step and once a minute, you can do em back to back.
So, you take BoS - great, once a minute you enjoy the great fun that is ShS too!
So, you take CnD -- wait, does anyone actually take this talent???? lolololol Typical holinka. Nerf till its ueseless.

boom.

Burst of speed is however awesome for farming Bloody Coins on the Timeless Isle and also for rbgs.

Im not good or anything But I love the new BOS I never used it until this patch Its like an unlimited cheap sprint and ofc you cant be slowed. Its so easy to escape and get resets and with rogues still rather poor defense I find it Ideal and its not terrible for keeping up with pple eeither.

The only Use I see for step is stepping traps.

Personally for me its wierd using step which was always a sub only thing as mutilate. Last time I played for a great length of time was wrath when mutilate was much stronger and yet we had no mobility.

And you can catch up pallies / hunters / mages very fast and almost unpeelable. Its huge against them, feels like almost as +dps cd just because the uptime.
