Specifically trinkets, I'm kind of curious if the 10% reduction on pvp trinkets outweighs any of the new pve trinkets. Also, with ilvl increasing, is it known how ilvl 522 trinkets will interact in pvp?

Thanks.

If you're human definitely go for double dps trinkets, on use + proc

any horde race go for proc trinket + medallion

and I'm pretty sure that most classes will go for pvp trinkets since all of the pve trinkets have been heavily nerfed in bgs/ arenas on ptr

What happened to PvE trinkets on PTR? Seems like I missed that nerf

the damage of those abilities will still be the same, it will be worth it to disarm monks now though

I think that's a good change, playing a monk as my main.  I generally dislike abilities that don't affect melee classes equally (ferals and monks).  It's pretty crazy that a guy can disarm me and I can still do my rotation, even if at a reduced-effectiveness level, especially fists-of-fury.  I'll still be able to do that, of course, but I think a higher penalty is appropriate.

I actually prefer on use - it lines up nicely with popping a stack of brew with the 1 min cd and is available when I need it.  Since we don't play as a 'pop all cds on the opener' kind of class, proc trinket has reduced effectiveness for us since that's when most classes make the best use of the proc.

A little OT but what do you guys think bout Storm earth fire next patch?
You can pop it on your target and FoF will basically do 130% dmg, if you chi wave yourself first it will also copy that btw leading to 150% dmg chi wave

Sorry for being dense here, but where is the 130% number coming from?  I'll admit I don't understand how SEF works, but from the patch-notes, it seems like it would do 150% with one clone, and 180% with 2 clones: ( I see that you can only have one clone on the same target as yourself now).

Quote

Storm, Earth and Fire now deals 75% damage (up from 60%) with one Spirit summoned and 60% (up from 45%) with two Spirits summoned.

Maybe I just don't understand the math.

When clone is on a same target as you, it doesnt copy special attacks, just autoatacks, so all this math is wrong. Although SEF is a good way to get some extra pressure and Sunrise Kick buff on everyone (3v3).

My understanding is that non-targeted AoE attacks are copied (including FoF), which you can see in youtube videos demonstrating SEF.  I'll have to test when I get home though to understand better.

got it from mmo champion, has something to do with rising sun kick from spirit not applying on your own target since he only copies autoattacks/tiger strikes / FoF + the fact that tiger power buff doesn't work for your spirit. was written on mmo champ in pve thread that iwt was 131% and 150% for chi wave if you cast it on self first or it won't go on your target.
those were pre nerf numbers though, dunno numbers now

I'd like to see someone post some definitive math on what abilities actually increase with SEF up.  I thought the clones break anytime you hit a special on the same target - it sounds like people are saying that isn't true?

it was for pve at least, but since it wasn't intended by blizzard it's been fixed and doing fof on the target your clone is on doesn't make your clone do it anymore :(
