Talents
  • Grimoire of Sacrifice (Affliction) You sacrifice your demon to gain one of its abilities, increase the power of many of your single target spells by 30% 20% and regenerate 2% of maximum health every 5 sec.
Affliction
  • Haunt You send a ghostly soul into the target, dealing [ 2,804 + 262.5% of Spell Power ] Shadow damage and increasing all periodic damage done by your spells on the target by 45% for 8 sec. Warlock - Affliction Spec. 1 Soul Shard. 40 yd range. 1.5 sec cast.


    So they want to buff our burst and now they're sending us back into dots, just inclusive the nerfs to drains. Okay what is going on?

  • Item - Warlock PvP Set 4P Bonus Increases damage done by your Agony, Corruption, Doom, Immolate, and Unstable Affliction by 10%. Reduces the cooldown of Unending Resolve by 20 sec.

Haunt change is to prevent players Haunting into an already Haunted target. So that new Haunt doesn't gain the 45% damage increase from the previous Haunt.

These are just minor stat changes and probably done to even out the changes to dots. Not really worth getting twisted underwear over.

Yeah and it's all the same, except for mg being shit and gateway is insanely nerfed

That could be interesting if Soul Link and the Glyph stack; 30% passive damage reduction is quite a lot, barring we lose Sac Pact and an Aura Mastery.

Just some food for thought.

I think Soul Link will be bad just because pets die so fucking easily. Haunt change is reasonable.

They buffed dots earlier, but now nerfed them all by 10% again, which is overall a nerf to dots outside of haunt.
so: they nerfed shard regen, gateway, gave us soul link (which will be useless, because pets die like nothing so u will never make use of it), nerfed dots, buffed haunt. Wouldn't surprise me if we'll end up still being bad/average as we are right now.

so what we have here;

they nerfed dmg of dots, they nerfed gateway, the nerfed survability ( not 10% dmg reduc anymore ), they nerfed proc's of shards from corruption, they nerfed burst of haunt, they nerfed dmg from sacrifice.

and what do we get? a soul link that is totally useless since almost every single team knows how easy is to kill warlock pets

imo, is going to be the worst patch for affly warlock's in the whole history of wow, and since the other specs are not that way better, the worst patch for warlocks in general.

passive things r always better than on use.

this statement blows my mind, you don't honestly think that do you?

on topic, things are looking sort of grim, not going to list all the reasons as they've already been listed.

seems like locks are being forced into casting again (what is happening with soul swap and sb:ss?) but the damage is going to be worse than it is now, as well as having nerfed everything else

i think we'll still be at least average

This basically means you better be haunting main target or your damage will be lackluster. Personally I prefer passive damage reduction so I'm fine with these changes...not to mention we still have double dark soul and another CC. It will be an interesting patch.
