I've been playing ptr lately and ignoring the massive imbalance between pve and pvp gear (Pve trinkets and set bonus's are insanely good) the reflective shield glyph definitley needs reverting.

70% reflection is way too good.

May I ask you if you are critting frost dks back on their obliterate for 87k+? Because that what happens on live from time to time with 30% reflective shield and buffing it to 70% without reworking the mechanics of return damage on the shield is going to be retarded.

It will be good fun in duels, but I'm not convinced it will be worth using in arenas.  On live, you get 45% reflection from a ~120k shield which is further reduced by ~65% resil: 120k*.45*(1-.65) = 19k.  On ptr in the arena this goes up to 30k, and you might get more shields if you go DI, but I'm not convinced it will make much of a difference.  I ran a few matches with it this season and it did way less damage than mindbender even when I was getting trained.

Reflective Shield + buffed Divine Insight (+ Weakened Soul Glyph) = Shield every ~7 seconds... Getting focused is gonna be fun.

Focusing a disc priest isn't a common strategy, and required for this glyph to do anything.

Disc priest crit rates are low, so crit shields w/ crit full reflects will be very rare.

In 3s, the damage from this is going to generally be spread out over 2 dps, and you can't control who takes the hit, so it's not much use for setting up kills or landing them.

at the absolute maximum, you might see a 90k reflect crit, even if you got this every 7s (which will never, ever happen), you are looking at like 13k dps. Realistically, you are looking at around 7k dps average. Smite spamming is far higher DPS, and not something anyone would ever think about calling "overpowered"

And... there are much, much better glyphs for holy/disc priests than this.

Shadow priests might use it... they have higher crit rates, and get damage from pvp power, which will offset their weaker shields. Training spriests is also a lot more common than training a healer.

Its not all about the crits though. The extra pressure that this one glyph from a healer can put out is retarded.

Imagine vs an aoe comp, spreading pw:s over your whole team every 10ish seconds? That's ridiculous dps coming from one GLYPH from a HEALER.

Dumb shit is dumb.

This.

There's no way to make this glyph do "a lot of damage" It only reflects damage from the shields that are on the priest. This is why no one ever really talented for it when it was a talent, and why no one really uses this glyph now that it's a glyph. Making it reflect more damage (but still less than it ever has, thanks to 65% base resil and no damage pvp power), isn't going to suddenly make this used, or powerful.

It's alright vs meleecleaves that tunnel the priest I guess. But I wouldn't use it vs anything else, and even vs meleecleaves there are other glyphs that are usually better.
