I haven't had a chance to mess with the ptr. I'm curious to see what shape MM is in with regards to 2's and 3's. I've been running with a Ret and a Disc. There's a lot of talk surrounding hunter changes, and I was hoping to defer to the judgements of those that have been on PTR to give a take on MM.

I'm currently playing BM, but it looks like MM could be a lot more fun to play. Baseline SS with pet stun should be fun :). MM dps looks strong without it being mongoloid like BM.

I would really like to play MM If it is viable. Moreover, viable with my partners classes.

Thanks ^^

Personally I haven't had a chance to test out PTR yet, but I do want to wait for more changes before I do.

With MM more than likely getting Damage buffs for the sake of PvE, it can pull ahead of BM.

it demands a lot more awareness than bm since you can't just bw out of anything that threatens you, and obviously that also means it's easier to kill an mm hunter compared to a bm one, but otherwise it's pretty decent. you have to pillar and you have to pay attention to everyone else's positioning

the damage is very good, but that might be in part to them not having buffed baseline resilience yet, so everyone's doing a lot of damage, not just hunters

It will be hard for people who are newer to hunter that started playing in MOP and are only used to pressing 3 or 4 buttons.

It will be even harder for people who have been playing hunter for years to see people who started in MoP succeeding as MM using the same amount of buttons BM requires.

Who the fuck knows? Arenas aren't enabled on the PTR and afaik everyone is in 512 gear attacking 65% resil. So that's bad enough. But the S14 gear is 522, even worse.

When 5.4 hits live we'll (hopefully) be beating on a higher base resil %. So it'll change a lot.
Bye again! This game isn't fun when you don't know anyone else that still plays.

All i see is MM being better than BM whole MoP (damage wise) and because of Readiness change they will fk up with buffs to compensate it.
As for surviving  it is same as BM .The difference , although it being quite huge, is awareness and position.
I really do hope they don't make something like taht and just keep MM damage as it is now(since it is quite good as it is now).

1. Bind chimera shot where kill command used to be
2. Bind Steady shot where cobra shot used to be.
3. Bind Aimed shot where BW used to be.
That was hard :/

complexity/#buttons is not different. The main difference is as said above, positioning/awareness due to not having extra trinkets and having to be in line of your target.

i think he meant you actually have to try to press your scatter trap buttons guys, instead of just kill command, arcane shot, and swifty macro

marks has more buttons there champ if you want to get technical. The point i think he is trying to make is that as bm you literally can  mongo in no fucks givenabout position because ferls/rets can heal you to full and spirit shell does a sheidl for all ur hp. that topped ith bm trinket and readiness no fucks are given. It's more than a hunter problem as you can see but everyone is fixated on that bow icon.

marks has one extra button smarty pants =) after the 5.2,5.3, and 5.4 changes.

It was a bit depressing when beast had 3 more than marks back in 5.2 or some shit.

So more buttons = more skill required? Man I guess BM required more skill than MM in 5.2 then.

Why every Warlocks and Mages so clueless yet still insists in posting here?

Yep man, Aimed Shot = Bestial Wrath. Hopefully i'll just assume you tried to be a smartass.

Pretty sure what the post you quoted meant is that MM playstyle is much different, requires positioning and setup for kills wich isn't something MoP BM rerolls are used to since they can simply go mongo when the gate opens and kill something in a silencing shot blanket on the enemy healer.

Yea I was kidding but you will have to use other abilities more than before. Bm is just a spam arcane and kill command fest.
