Nothing he did managed to fix it (Reload UI, relog, exit game, change spec, change talents, drag the spell again from spellbook, making a macro /cast judgement etc.). It just fixed itself as randomly as it appeared.
A guildie said something similar (not sure about which ability, but i think it was on his monk), so it`s not a DK only bug.
Spells just randomly gray out for no apparent reason.
This was on EU servers and I heard about it first like 2-3 hours ago so I assume it's something new and pretty rare.
99% chance your paladin friend is just an idiot and forgot to pick a seal upon entering the arena. Can't use judgement if you have no seal active.

and even though it has a "priority" theres no way you can possibly guarantee that it follows that priority of avoiding unholy runes as uh or restoring uh runes if youre frost.
furthermore, you act like you're pve rotating a boss down in arena all the time to keep track of things. i guess you never focus or arena# chains of ice anyone? never strangulate? never focus IT dispel? but of course you keep track of all of those runes too, right?
Serennia, are u russian ?

Edit: It's actually a bug with all multi-rune abilities such as death strike, festering strike, army, etc.
I just did for about 5 minutes, none of my multi rune abilities were grayed out when i had the runes available for them. It must be another addon. Will screenshot if you wish
