Hey guys, figured I'd jump on the band wagon and go ret on my alt pally. I was just curious how you guys go about doing the "insane" damage everyone talks about in arena. I'm 4p main set/tyr. wep with full malev offset and relic of xuen and I guess I suck dick at doing dmg. Never played ret before in my life by the way.

Any helpful suggestions would be good.. I usually start out building holy power then get my what I like to refer to as slice and dice I guess, too used to rogue and just go from there with crusaders - judges - exors.. finishing with templars.

thx in advance

This might sound very simple, but there is really no secret behind ret pali dmg,

Inquisition should be active all the time

/use "dmgtrinket" (or use cds while procc trinket is active)
/cast Avenging Wrath
/cast Holy Avenger

build holy power and use templars

dmg wise:
Templar's Verdict > (Holy Prism)> Exorcism ~ Crusader Strike > Judgement

Glyph of Word of Glory grants a 9% dmg increase in addition.

Edit: forgot hammer of wrath, use it, too!

For the burst, make sure to use GoAC before you use AW + HA and let it stack for 10 seconds just to make sure you have maximum amount of STR while having AW + HA + Trinket active. To make sure you don't have to refresh Inq during your burst use Inq at the exact same time as you use GoAC. You might wanna save HoF's for yourself during this as well to maximum your uptime on your target as well but don't got too far away from your healer then you'll most likely die!
